Proud doesnβt even begin to cover it. π
Cup Final heartbreak for the girls yesterday, losing to a last-minute goal after giving absolutely everything.
We dominated the first half, creating chance after chance and playing some brilliant football, but went into halftime only 1-0 up. The opposition found an equaliser in the second half and it became a scrappy battle right to the end before they managed to score a late winner.
Football can be cruel sometimes, but this team should hold their heads high. Every single player gave everything for the badge, for each other, and for the team.
What makes this group special goes far beyond results. After the game, everyone spent the evening together celebrating an amazing season β and that says everything about this team. The friendships, togetherness, support and memories weβve built mean so much more.
So proud of every one of them.
An amazing season for Rothwell Town U11 Girls π

Another player who never stopped running from start to finish, and although she was unfortunate not to get herself on the scoresheet, her contribution to the team was outstanding.

Poppy continued to shine, with a free kick falling to Emily to score from a tight angle, then added a superb lob. Another precise through ball from Poppy allowed Emily to complete her hat trick with a well-timed run and finish.
