Today, the girls headed to the Crofton Gala, finishing TOP of their group stages before going all the way and lifting the trophy in a fantastic final against a very tough Wakefield Schools team. 💪👏

A brilliant display of teamwork, determination, resilience and fantastic football from the girls, who kept their composure when it mattered most!

Four successful galas and four wins this pre-season is an amazing achievement and a credit to the hard work, commitment and attitude shown by every single player. ❤️

We’re delighted to announce Bella Hopson as our second signing of the 2026/27 season! 👏

Bella joins the Blues with a fantastic footballing background, having previously played for Rothwell Juniors and United Football Sporting Academy. She also represents West Riding County and is part of the Leeds ETC (Emerging Talent Centre) programme, highlighting her commitment and ability.

We’re excited to welcome Bella to the club and can’t wait to see what she brings to the team this season. We have no doubt she’ll be a great addition to the squad.

The girls showed incredible teamwork, determination and quality throughout the tournament, giving everything for each other and fully deserving their winners’ medals.

Rothwell U12 Girls on Tour!

What a special weekend for the Rothwell Under 12 Girls! The team headed to Skipsea Sands for a weekend away, creating memories both on and off the pitch. From laughs around the caravan park to a brilliant game of rounders involving the girls, parents and siblings, it was a fantastic way to spend quality time together.

On Saturday, the team travelled to Hornsea to face Skirlaugh FC before everyone enjoyed a well-earned lunch together. To round off the day the girls got changed and braved the North Sea – a perfect ending to an amazing trip.

Weekends like these are about so much more than football. They strengthen friendships, build team spirit, and create memories that will last a lifetime. A truly special weekend for everyone involved. 💙⚽

Match Report – Rothwell vs Skirlaugh

Rothwell put in a fantastic team performance to secure an impressive win over Skirlaugh, playing some excellent attacking football throughout.

Leela opened the scoring from out wide before Maisie added a brilliant strike from outside the box. Bronte then scored with a superb long-range effort that looped over the goalkeeper. Charlotte played Emily through to finish calmly before Emily turned provider with a great cross for Pheobe to score. Poppy added a brilliant goal after a strong run down the wing, curling her effort into the top corner. Millie also got on the scoresheet after a great pass from Maisie, and Leela completed the scoring with her second after finishing confidently from Poppy’s cross.

💙👏 An Incredible Achievement by Our Rothwell Town Blues Girls! 👏💙

A huge congratulations to all of our girls, coaches and parents who took on the 2 Yorkshire Peaks Challenge today in support of the season ahead.

Starting at the iconic Horton-in-Ribblesdale, the team conquered Whernside before facing a tough descent and then taking on Ingleborough – the hardest and most demanding climb of the day. Despite the challenge, every single girl dug deep, showed incredible determination, and reached the summit. You should all be immensely proud of what you’ve achieved.

Even more incredible is that they have raised an amazing £1,648 to support the team going forward. This money will make a huge difference, and we can’t thank everyone enough who donated, supported, and encouraged the team along the way.

A massive thank you also goes to the coaches, parents, and supporters who helped make today possible.

Well done, girls – your resilience, teamwork, and determination have made the whole club proud. 💙⚽⛰️

After lifting the trophy at the Hull United Tournament yesterday, the girls were back in action today at the Ulleskelf Gala—and they did it again, finishing the day as Champions! 🏆💙

Winning one tournament is a fantastic achievement, but winning two galas in two days is a testament to the incredible talent, determination, and team spirit within this squad. The girls showed outstanding commitment throughout the weekend, playing with confidence, resilience, and a real desire to succeed.

Every player should be immensely proud of their efforts. You have represented the club brilliantly and created memories that will last a lifetime.
