Due to the terrible forecast the Super 8’s is cancelled on Sunday. We will still be showing the Leeds game. Come down and make an afternoon of it. Bar opens at 1pm

20 Point Weekend as both teams see themselves climb the table.

1s were supposed to play TABS, however the game was conceded therefore giving us the 10 points.

The 2s played Kelfield 1s in a great game. The bowling from Ellie stood out with Incy and Will Bradley taking poles too. However, the opposition made it hard to score runs and we slowly but surely got ourselves to victory on home soil!

⭐️ Only 1 Player of the Match this week. It sees our 2s player Ellie Harrison take the plaudits this week!

A fantastic spell from Ellie this week, taking 4 poles for 15 runs. This included 5 Maidens and an economy of 1.50. Very impressive.

Mixed emotions on Saturday as the 1s unfortunately lost to Saxton after bowling well and getting them all out. Unfortunately, the 1s couldn’t get there with the bat and posted a below par batting performance.

The twos however had a cracking game away at South Milford and with Incy scoring a ton in the first innings and Marcos hitting 12 off the last two balls, it always looked like it would be a good game. The bowling performance was also good, with the game getting close towards the end, the bowlers stood up and got the remaining wickets!

⭐️ Man of the Match goes to Rob again for the 1s because of his display in bowling. Taking 5 wickets this week with consistency and tight bowling off his 12 overs!

⭐️ Man of the Match for the 2s was Max Causon, scoring his second century of the year which included 21 fours! What an innings from the 17 year old!

He didnt stop there, he took 4 crucial wickets making sure the team was in the best position to win the game! Top notch.

Results from this weekend are in with both the 1s and 2s winning! A big 20 point weekend for the club.

The 1s chose to bat first and with the openers getting high scores, the rest of the top order followed suit! A ruthless bowling display held the visitors to only 129 runs taking the 10 points.

The Second team went away to Whitkirk and similarly chose to bat. Some good and steady batting from our top order saw us get to just short of 200! A great bowling display from the returning Will Bradley capped off a great win for the 2s!

⭐️ The 1s Player of the Match goes to Rob Nicholls for his fast scoring 44* turning the game into our favour in the final few overs. His game didn’t stop there, with 4 wickets, he took out the top order with his consistent deliveries!

⭐️ The 2s Player of the Match is shared between youngster Wilf Spinks, and the returning Will Bradley.

Wilf proving himself to be quite the consistent figure with the bat again for the 2s. Scoring above a ball 41 showing his dedication to cricket and supporting the team in their fight!

Will Bradley returns for the first time in a few years and showed exactly why he wants to play every week for 10 years straight now. His spin taking wickets for fun and ensuring that the opposition would not get close to the total!

Still plenty to celebrate with both Rob and Gary getting wickets and runs. A solid game from Tummers and a great bowling spell against Burn by Max Olbison.
