We’re hosting an STA Swimming Teacher Qualification Course and urgently need swimmers for our trainee teachers to teach.

💥 LESSONS ARE JUST 50P EACH! 💥

A fantastic chance for children to get extra swimming practice in small groups, helping them build confidence, improve strokes and develop their skills.

📅Wednesday 2nd September (water confidence)
4:55pm Non-Swimmer - sessions will be 121 or 221, with the teachers in the water

The additional lessons offer a great opportunity for your swimmer to work on their strokes and skills. Due to the smaller group sizes and the opportunity to attend multiple sessions your child can benefit from intense learning which will improve their swimming ability.

Do you want to be a part of one of 2027’s biggest sporting events? 🚴‍♀️

Back in January, Leeds was confirmed to host the start of stage one of the Grand Départ of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift on Friday 30 July 2027. And today organisers have launched a drive to recruit volunteers who will play a crucial role for when the world’s biggest women’s professional cycle race comes to the city next year.

Volunteers, known as JOY Makers, will receive training for a range of roles, including event operations support and spectator engagement. Applications are open to anyone aged 16 or over, with no previous volunteering experience required. Volunteers aged between 18 to 25 will also be eligible for a Readiness to Work scheme, which will provide employability skills training and career mentoring across multiple sectors.
