We’re saddened to learn that three more dealerships in the north east are closing this month. Having already lost Dickinsons in Bradford and Lowdhams in Huddersfield in recent years, followed by Steve Mann Caravans at Harrogate, it’s another blow to the industry. Our thoughts are also with the staff who’ve lost their jobs. We’re doing all we can to look after as many caravanners as possible, but we also have to prioritise our loyal customers.

Please get your annual service booked in early to avoid disappointment and keep your manufacturer’s warranty up to date. We’re already taking bookings for 2025. We can service every manufacturer apart from Coachman, and have authority to carry out warranty work for Erwin Hymer UK (Elddis, Compass, Xplore and Buccaneer), Swift Group and Bailey of Bristol on both caravans and motorhomes.

As we’ve said many times, we’re nearly a full team of caravanners ourselves, with decades of experience in the industry. We’re truly saddened to see how things have gone for the industry this year, but we’re working hard to try and keep our local caravanning community going. We will look after you all as best we can, but please help us to do so by getting your annual services booked in with plenty of time to spare and also please stick to your arrival times when bringing your caravans in to avoid causing queues on the A64.

We’re also working with local service engineers, repair shops and traders to lighten the load. It’s times like this that we all need to work together to ensure the future of the caravan industry.

We have some excess material so have decided to make up some canopies cheap for our lovely customers, these will be canvas only (no poles or guy ropes) £50 we have light grey or dark grey first come first served as they will
