You don’t need more time. You need a plan that works.

Most people don’t struggle because they’re lazy.
They struggle because what they’re trying to do doesn’t fit into real life.

That’s why fit20 works. And our members stay consistent over weeks, months and years.

Just 20 minutes, once a week.
Simple. Structured. Sustainable.

And when something is sustainable, you actually stick to it.

💪 Can just 20 minutes a week really make a difference?

According to the largest study ever conducted into this style of strength training… absolutely.

The “fit20 study”, led by Dr James Steele at Solent University, followed nearly 15,000 people over seven years using fit20’s minimum effective dose approach to strength training.

The results?

Participants achieved substantial strength gains of around 30 to 50% in their first year, regardless of age, gender, or fitness level.

And what did they do?

Just one 20-minute session per week.
Six exercises.
One set each.
Slow, focused strength training.

It’s powerful proof that you do not need hours in the gym to build meaningful strength. You just need the right training.

Did the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon inspire you to start running? 🏃‍♂️

At fit20, some of our members train so they can move more easily day to day. Others use strength training to support the sports and activities they love, like running, golf, tennis and hiking.

Strength training plays a huge role in both.

For runners, it can help improve performance, reduce injury risk, and keep your body stronger throughout training and recovery.

And Nicola is living proof of that 💚

After breaking her foot just five months ago, she completed the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon in an incredible 5:03:33, and raised an amazing £1456 for MND, smashing her original £1000 target.

Whether your goal is completing a marathon or simply feeling stronger in everyday life, it all starts with building strength.

What happens if you don’t strength train?

From around the age of 30, we naturally start to lose muscle mass.

Over time, that can affect your strength, balance, mobility and confidence.

But the good news is, it’s not fixed.

Strength training helps you maintain and rebuild muscle, keeping you active and independent for longer.

It doesn’t take hours. Just consistency.

“ I was told my balance wouldn’t get any better… ”

But Hilary’s experience tells a different story.

Since starting fit20:

✔️ Her balance has improved
✔️ She’s feeling stronger
✔️ She’s walking straighter

And the moment that really says it all?

Her physio told her:
“ In all the years I’ve been treating you, I’ve never seen you stand so straight. ”

This is what consistent, guided strength training can do 💪

💬 “Health is not just the absence of disease. It is how you feel day to day.”
— Dr Rangan Chatterjee, author of our April Book Club pick Feel Better in 5

It’s easy to think about health in extremes. But for most of us, it’s about the small, everyday things.

Having more energy.
Sleeping better.
Feeling stronger in your body.

At fit20, that’s what we focus on. Not quick fixes, but consistent strength that helps you feel better in your day to day life.

Why this matters for your strength this month:
Strength supports how you feel every single day, not just how you look.
