Wishing the very best of luck to everyone competing in tomorrow's Central Championships in Watford! But of course in particular to our Pudsey and fellow Yorkshire/ Region 2 students.

This is an important, large and challenging competition so remember to represent yourselves, your classes and instructors exactly how you do at training and I know you will do us all proud regardless of the outcome.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, stay safe, look out for each other, have fun, and learn, learn, learn! (In that order). Medals are always nice, it feels good to win and not very good to lose, but how you approach these events and your mindset in them is what makes a true martial artist, not the metal around your neck. That said, we're sure you will all do great.

Today is the day, get yourself to training this evening at our new venue!

So, just to remind you all:

-Training will start at 19:00 until 20:30 (going forward)
-Monday Class will now be in line with other classes at £6 per session

Car parking available for us is in pink, the gym, I'm told, is where I've placed the Red asterisk 😁 Get there early to give yourselves time to find it, get changed and for us to set up! EXCITING NEWS! MONDAY CLASS!

If you train with us or have been following along you'll have seen our updates and milestones of our Monday class, which is now a little over a year old.

We have been very dutifully served and had a great time training out of the church hall at St. James the Great C of E on Galloway Lane in Pudsey! Alas, as our class has since grown from under a dozen regulars to 30+ students, the small hall and 1hr we have just doesn't suffice anymore.

As such, starting next Monday 11-05-2026 we will be moving to a hall at Crawshaw school:

Training will now be 1.5hrs rather than 1 and will be going up slightly to £6 per sessions rather than £5 (in line with other classes across the region). Training will also start a little earlier at 19:00 until 20:30.

There are also dedicated changing facilities and showers on sight! By all means, please come along for out grand-reopening!

*REMINDER*

Hello all, remember there is no class this coming Monday 4th May due to it being a bank holiday.

Upon our return to regular training the following Monday we will also have a venue change to better accommodate our ever growing class! More details to follow soon!

We had a WONDERFUL start to the Competitive year this weekend with a great haul and brilliant experiences and performances from our contingent of Yorkshire competitors. Better still the day went without issue and was a great demonstration of family and camaraderie. It was great fun seeing and catching up with so many friends. We're very proud of all of you, and if you're enthusiastic to keep it going or try, next competition is only in May at the Central Championships. Thank you also to Master Chin and Region 1 for extending the invitation and for your hospitality.

EVENT REMINDER

Tomorrow sees the first tournament of the 2026 calendar, opening the TSD Competitive year with the 39th Region One Championships!

As in recent years we were fortunate enough to receive extended invitations to this and as such a handful of our Pudsey students alongside others from our region 2 family will be heading down to Luton for tomorrow mornings event. Best of luck to any and all involved!

MOST IMPORTANTLY though is to ENJOY the experience, meet and make new friends, take the chance to learn from others and see how they train and do things, Foster your relationships and make sure to have FUN! It's the first competition of the year, there are many more and always will be. Tang Soo Do isn't about medals and winning, we foster personal and traditional values between ourselves, others and how we train and are incredibly proud of you all no matter your outcome or level of involvement. Nonetheless, that being said, go get em!

*REMINDER NO CLASS TOMORROW AND MONDAY*

Hello everyone,

Just a quick reminder that there is no class for the upcoming 2 Easter Bank Holidays! Those being tomorrow, Friday 3rd April because Pudsey Leisure Centre will be closing early, as well as Monday 6th April at St. James the Great C of E.

Class picks back up as normal for us in Pudsey on Friday 10th April at Pudsey Leisure Centre at our usual 18:30 start! Or on Tuesday at Tang Soo Do Denby Dale , Wednesday at Stocksbridge Tang Soo Do Club , and Thursday at Brighouse if you're eager ro make a start earlier sill.

We've just had a grading and Region 1's competition is just around the corner, with Centrals following not long after so enjoy the break but be sure to hit the ground running next week so we can work off all those Easter Eggs!

What a FANTASTIC day!
Our first Region 2 grading of 2026 saw a diverse gathering of the regional Tang Soo Do family from across West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, the North East and North West. Not just a day for advancement but a wonderful celebration of community!

Everyone rose to the occasion, performing brilliantly in the face of nerves and pressure and we could not be any prouder!

What's more, the day was closed out in further celebration when Master Tang presented certificates and new ranks to four Dan grades following Decembers senior grading!

As such, a MASSIVE and well earned CONGRATULATIONS to:

Both promoted to Senior 1st Dan!

- Sam Hollindrake-Hughes
- King Lau
Both promoted to 3rd Dan!

Whether it was your first grading, or the awarding of a new senior rank, today was an achievement to be proud of! And testament to your commitment, skill and dedication!

What a year! From the last class of 2024 to the last of 2025 and a few snippets of what we've gotten up to in between - including a new class, lots of dedicated students, gradings, competitions, a world championships, new friends and old friends, as well as plenty of fun, hard work and good times, to name but a few!

From everyone at Tang Soo Do Pudsey, to fellow friends and martial artists at home and around the world we hope you've all had a fantastic year and holiday season! And wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2026! Let's make it as good as and better than 2025!

We look forward to seeing you back at it fresh and ready next Monday (Jan 5th) and Friday (Jan 9th) at our usual times and places! And to anyone looking to try something new in 2026, come and join the family.
