I’m sure I speak for all our seniors, instructors and Masters when I say how proudly we watched you all compete this weekend! From Peewees to Veterans, Juniors to Seniors, we haven’t seen a competition like this in a long time. Watching alongside friends and peers from across the country and proudly saying, “They’re one of mine!”

You represented yourselves, your clubs, Region 2 and Master Tang brilliantly. So many of you competed for the first time, and all that hard work paid off! You should be VERY proud of yourselves.

Pudsey, Huddersfield, Stocksbridge, Denby Dale, Manchester and the North East, ALL of Region 2 showed up, supported one another and delivered!

If you enjoyed competing half as much as we enjoyed watching, it was a roaring success!
Keep this up into 2027, and we’re in for another fantastic year. Well done, everyone!

*NEW CLASS ALERT*

You may remember us mention that Master Tang's Thursday Brighouse class would be changing to a Wednesday at Huddersfield. First one is tonight, info below! Get yourselves along! Tang Soo 👊

28/09/2026

We're inside the final few weeks before the National Championships on Oct 17th! We know that quite a lot are heading down to this competition, many of whom for which this will be their first tournament! Which is amazing!

Any training is always useful of course but if you're able to make it to any of our 7pm Monday classes at Crawshaw Acadamy in the run up to the 17th, we'll be continuing dedicated prep and practice within our usual training!

If you can only train on Fridays though don't worry, we'll still make sure you all know what to expect on the day and are ready for it! Just chat with your senior black belts and Masters who will be happy to help you out!

**GRADING ANNOUNCEMENT/ UPDATE**

Hello all,

No rest for the wicked with a 2nd busy weekend ahead! This grading will now be held at Pudsey Leisure Centre instead of Huddersfield.

I'm sure everyone knows the drill by now but just in case: Your instructor(s) or Master Tang will have let you know whether you're grading. If so, don't forget to get your forms, fees, membership and training booklets back with your instructors or Master Tang ASAP, on the day before we start at the absolute LATEST!

This should be a slightly smaller more junior grading but come along to watch and support nonetheless if you can! Especially as its nice and local. Also hopefully we'll see results/ presentations from the recent senior grading.
Give yourselves some leeway for parking, getting changed and warming up as usual too.

Black belts and Masters, as always your help on the day is greatly appreciated if you're able!

We also saw our TSD family from across the pond at the seminar today. Master Kelly Shaver has competed with a handful of our Team Pudsey squad in the past and is now the head instructor for the US, so it was great chance to catch up!

Furthermore, Team USA members and talented martial artists Joseph and Prarthana made for some formidable opponents not long back at the 2025 World Championships. So getting the chance to train with them both at todays seminar was a fantastic experience!

Just another part of what makes Tang Soo Do so special!

A fantastic day at the ITSDF seminar in Watford!

Today was a truly international event with our wider Tang Soo Do family making appearances from the USA, South America and several countries across Europe to name but a few!

It was an intensive, non stop and action packed day with great training that put all of us through our paces. As always we're particularly proud of our team from Pudsey and Region 2 who conducted themselves brilliantly to get the most from the day.

Events like this are invaluable. Not just for seeing old and new friends, but for providing a rare opportunity for new insights and collaborations within our martial arts community that we may otherwise miss. So make the most of them when you can!
