MAGIC OF THE MUSICALS 2026
Well we did it!
After 5 days intense rehearsal in 30 degree heat our amazing Scala Kids pulled of a fantastic opening night .
Throughout the week they have been an absolute pleasure to work with and I am so incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
Performance tonight is at 6-00pm . Kids to arrive at the theatre at 4-00 for a quick rehearsal of Finale ( No Babes till 4.30)
Well, Day Four was incredible..... when we say you need to come see this show - we really mean, you need to come see this show. There are so many spine tingling moments.....we're certainly not giving anything away on here but ....
To get you excited for what's to come, here's a sneak peak at our tiniest stars..... are Scala Babes - who ALWAYS steal the show!! Plus a snapshot of our beautiful singers, in one of most well-known sections of the show..... 'Pink Frocks!' This isn't the actual title but that's what it's always been called by Scala Students & always will be!!!

Day Three & it's safe to say the heat got to us!
How all these kids were costumed, sang their hearts out & danced all day is crazy!!!
We literally only managed to get 2 tiny clips of our seniors but they still sounded amazing!!!
Honestly, there's not many tickets left now - make sure you don't miss out & that the kids get the packed audiences they deserve 😍

Day Two.... it was long & it was HOT 🥵 but our kids & our team were amazing!!
Didn't manage to catch our Seniors in action (that's tomorrow's mission) but our Juniors were costumed, rode the trolley car & took a visit to Fat Sam's!
Honestly, there's no stopping these talented kids 🤩

Annnnnnnnnd we're off!!!
It's been scorching outside but we've had a heatwave in the studio - our kids are on fire 🔥
Day One & we've costumed, we've sung, we've danced & we've managed to eat a few cookies as well (Thank you Julie!!!)

ONE WEEK TO GO ...before we start our "Magic of the Musicals" ..show- in -a- week rehearsals.
On Sunday 24th May 60 talented Scala Kids will descend on our studios. From Sunday to Wednesday they will work with our awesome Musical Director and director/choreographer learning show numbers and choreography Our costume team will grab whatever kids we can and fit over 300 costumes .
On Thursday we move to the theatre and we'll be joined by our Babes team and technical crew ..on Friday and Saturday audiences will be astonished as to what we have achieved in just 5 days. This year audiences can look forward to numbers from Bugsy Malone, Billy Elliot, West Side Story, Hello Dolly not to mention a fabulous Motown opening and a glitzy finale.

It’s very competitive on Thursdays ..we have fiercely ambitious kids who are constantly striving to improve… and we love that !……
last term it was mostly boys but the girls have fought back.

WEDNESDAY is usually a quiet night at Scala ...just two drama classes and a few singers but tonight we had twenty hyperactive Scala Sprogs dressed in sea creature costume with us....so it was all a bit manic.
Our drama students however held their own in this sea of cuteness
so congratulations to our winners.
