Dear Members and Fans,
It's not often we come out with a request but, we've been lucky to secure a grant for some much needed pitch equipment (a new tractor!!!) to keep the grass in "tip-top" condition!
We just need to raise 25% of its cost to get the deal over the line. Please, if you can, click the link and help us reach our targe!
Donate to Tractor Fund, organized by Moortown RUFC
We are raising £9,000 to be able to complete our Football Foundation funding and purchase much needed groun… Moortown RUFC needs your support for Tractor Fund

ONE LAST DANCE… PROBABLY
•
It’s the final regulation week of the season and it’s a big one for the First XV. They currently sit 5th in the league, enough for an unlikely run at play-offs.
This will be no mean feat though as they travel to Pocklington needing a bonus point win to guarantee the play-off spot. The prize? An away trip to Pocklington next week.
All eyes will be on Feathers Field and good luck to the lads
•
The Marauders play their final game of the season Dow at Far Moss against Cleckheaton. Town won a tight and physical affair away earlier this year and will be hoping for the same tomorrow to finish the season with a flourish.
•
Meanwhile in another world, the Mambas face Bramley Buffaloes RFC on the hallowed turf at 13:30. Looking to bounce back from defeat last week the lads will be raring to go and Bramley will be a tough proposition with a number of the lads still playing rugby yawnion for a week or two!
•
For one last regulation time this season we say thank you to our sponsors Morley Glass & Clarion Solicitors the finest in the business. Their support all season has been invaluable to making the club run smoothly, keeping the lads dressed and the floodlights on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hopefully we get to say thank you again next week but time will tell.
•
Go well everyone involved

As we enter into Easter weekend and a break from rugby, now is the time to announce the return and rebrand of the Moortown 7s tournament
•
This year, we plan to start small with an Elite men’s and Elite women’s competition with a view to growing each year!
•
The weekend? July 4th, or Independence Day if you’re of an American persuasion
•
Why 6-7’s? Other than being a horrendous internet trend for Gen Z, we will host 6 teams in the men’s and women’s formats culminating into 2 grand finals at the end of the day
•
Prizes? You bet, cash prizes for the winners, bar tabs and much more. There’s even rumours of a giant wooden spoon
•
Food and drink? We’ve got you covered, in addition to the main bar we will have outdoor watering holes as well as hot food options throughout the day - stay tuned for more information
•
For entries please email [email protected] and we will release more information on tickets and other details in the coming weeks
•
Don’t miss out and what promises to be a great day for summer rugby

The final 1st XV home game of the season is upon us, and we have a double-header on the hallowed turf!
•
The Marauders will start us off against Harrogate Rugby with a 1pm kick-off to warm the crowd up #
•
And then from 3pm the main event starts with Old Crossleyans RUFC coming to town to face the 1s
•
There’s plenty of history in both fixtures with the 1s not having beaten Crocs since 2024 having previously enjoyed a good run on against the alligators
•
Meanwhile the Marauders v the cock(erel)s is the forever rearranged fixture with this being the 4th and final attempt at getting this game played
•
It’s also our Vice President’s day which means we welcome our old boys down to Far Moss to take in some modern rugby and drink from the freshly stocked bar
•
Give Carl a message to let him know you’re coming down and we can welcome you with a pint
•
Once more a huge thank you to premier sponsor Morley Glass! The sun is out and the time is right to get that conservatory or skylights you’ve been thinking about. With a full consultation, fitting and manufacturing done by the best in the business you know you’re in for a treat
•
And thank you to Clarion Solicitors Leeds the finest solicitors in Leeds covering all services from business & commercial through to family. So if you can’t agree on the colour of skylights then give Clarion a call and they can support you!
