Not for everyone. Grip Grind Glory is where judo’s underground lives. Train different. Live ready.

26/02/2026

Listen in to Grip Grind Glory: Judo Reimagined to find out what happened when we stopped talking about change in judo and started doing something new.

The first two Grip Grind Glory Experience events are done.

Not seminars.
Not competitions.
Not belt gradings.

Something else.

In this episode, we break down what really happened:

• Did adults show up?
• Did the structure change the energy in the room?
• Did it create belonging — or just another hard session?
• What didn’t work?
• What needs refining?

No hype. No pretending it’s perfect.

Just honest reflections from building the missing adult pathway in judo.

🎧 Episode 26 is live now on Spotify, Youtube and Apple Podcast.

The Experience is built for beginners and returners — on purpose.

Beginners and returners need:
• clarity, not overload
• confidence, not comparison
• structure, not pressure
• a reason to keep coming back

Cycle 1 creates a clear, supported starting point —
so people don’t just try judo… they stay.

This is where foundations are built properly.
This is where identity starts forming.
This is where judo begins to feel like it belongs to you.

If you’re starting again — or starting later — this is for you.

The gap is that drilling teaches you what to do but it doesn’t always teach you how it feels when things don’t go to plan.

Timing breaks.
Balance shifts.
Your partner resists.
Your confidence hesitates.

In the GGG Experience, we work in the space between drilling and randori:
• decision-making under pressure
• adapting when the technique isn’t perfect
• staying composed when things get messy
• learning to trust movement, not scripts

Cycle 1 is about closing that gap —
so what you drill actually shows up when it matters.

If your judo disappears as soon as things get live, this is why.

We brought back "the old ruleset" because they make judo make sense.

Leg grabs.
Continuous groundwork.
Real scoring that rewards initiative.

For adult judoka, this ruleset:
• encourages movement instead of stalling
• rewards effort, not passivity
• creates flow instead of stop–start frustration
• makes matches feel like judo, not a waiting game

GLORY isn’t about winning medals.
It’s about giving adults a format where courage, commitment, and intent actually matter.

This is the ruleset we use in Cycle 1 —
because it lets people express their judo, not survive it.

In the Experience, strength isn’t separate from technique.
It’s what allows you to:

• stay stable under pressure
• keep posture when things get messy
• apply technique with confidence, not hesitation
• trust your body when fatigue kicks in

This isn’t bodybuilding.
It’s judo-relevant strength — built to support the training you’re already doing in your club.

Cycle 1 lays that foundation.

If your technique makes sense in drills but disappears in randori — this is why.

Decide what you’re training for.

In Cycle 1 of the Experience, we don’t chase belts or medals.
We focus on skills that change how training feels:

• grip and control
• composure under pressure
• confidence in movement
• trust in what you’re doing

You’ll choose a focus.
You’ll train with intention.
And over the cycle, you’ll feel the difference — on and off the mat.

This is the Grip Grind Glory Experience (link in bio).
Built for adult judoka who want direction, not noise.

GGG isn’t about being the best in the room.
It’s about being honest in your effort.

We care about:
showing up,
doing the work,
supporting each other,
and leaving the mat better than you arrived.

That’s the culture behind the GGG Training Experience.
No ego. No shortcuts. Just real progress.

Most adults don’t quit judo because they don’t like it.
They quit because it feels unclear, intimidating, or directionless.

The GGG Experience is an 8-week guided journey for adult beginners and returners who want confidence, structure, and progress — without pressure.

If you’re not “ready” yet… you’re exactly who this was built for.
