Turning 53 next week… 🎂
And people have been asking me, “What do you do to stay young?”
So I thought I’d share some of my worst-kept secrets about staying healthy, feeling good and hopefully looking a little younger than my birth certificate suggests. 😂
Honestly? Apart from dieting, I do pretty much everything. 😂 I LOVE delicious food. Life is too short for sad salads! I do intermittent fasting every now and then too.
Over the years I’ve found a few things that genuinely work for me. And after my recent hair fall which caused sleepless nights, anxiety and sent me deep down the rabbit hole of trying EVERYTHING, I became even more obsessed with understanding what my body actually needs.
So here goes…
✨ longevity protocol - my long-term go-to. I took their individual supplements for years and now use their one-stop protocol. Personally, I saw a huge improvement in my allergies and eczema. After decades of using antihistamines and steroid creams, I was able to come off them, and the pigmentation on my shins disappeared.
For me, it’s about supporting health from the inside out rather than expecting an overnight transformation. It isn’t cheap… definitely one that puts a hole in the pocket! 😂 Link in bio.
✨ Collagen - the only one I’ve personally stuck with. I started with 6 capsules for a couple of months, then 3 as maintenance. My skin is where I noticed the difference and apparently so did everyone around me! 😂
✨ Creatine 3–5g daily - Not just for gym bros! 😂 I take it to support muscle, strength and performance. And yes, staying well hydrated is important.
✨ Omega-3 + Vitamin D - quality matters. I check the actual EPA + DHA content in my omega-3 rather than just looking at the number on the front of the bottle. And Vitamin D goes with a meal containing fat. I don’t specifically seek out omega-6, most of us get plenty from our diets.
✨ Hair support: Saw palmetto , pumpkin seed oil , tocotrienols, minoxidil and my LED device .
✨ PROTEIN - I aim for around 30g with each main meal. Protecting muscle as we age is non-negotiable for me.

✨ MOVE after meals - ideally 10 minutes. Or, if I’m being lazy, I sit in Vajrasana for 5–10 minutes. My little secret for feeling less bloated. 🤫
But the biggest one?
❤️ SELF-LOVE.
Be SELF-ish in a selfless way.
Be gentle with the bits of yourself you judge the most.
When your body changes, don’t speak to it like it has failed you.
Your body has carried you through decades of your life.
So when you feel “I’m not good enough,” “I’m getting old,” or simply uncomfortable in your changing body… look at those changes with softness and whisper:
“I love you, just the way you are. You’re safe. All is well.”
Learning to regulate your nervous system is also an important part of overall wellbeing and for me, yoga, breath and meditation are a huge part of that. 🧘🏽♀️
Staying young isn’t really about looking 30.
It’s about feeling alive, strong, curious, playful and compassionate. ❤️
And finally…
Happy birthday to me - and to all of you who actually managed to read right down to this point! 😂
Namaste 🙏🏽

For all those - whose voice has been silenced………………….. Question: Who am I
And this is what followed….
Often, People will try and make you understand,
while others will try keep you frightened
with stories of their own failures
They’ll tell you when to stop,
and where to adhere .
They will point out your flaws,
And hold up mirrors
to the parts of you
you are still learning to embrace .
Some will even tell you
to turn back,
to leave your dreams behind without a single trace.
Listen to them all — but do not lose yourself in their voices.
Do not abandon your path
simply because of someone else’s choices
For they
cannot see where this path would lead
But if you silence the noise
and go in…
A quiet wisdom speaks
To remind you:
You do not need anyone
to understand your journey.
You only need the courage
to keep walking it unapologetically

An immersive experience of gentle , breath, inner listening and deep restorative sound , a space to softly lay down what is no longer needed and return to the subtle.
Our journey begins where all sound begins: in the .
Through a gentle yoga flow, we find our centre and arrive fully in the body.
We move into , gently purifying the inner channels and bringing the solar and lunar currents into quiet balance. From here, we rest in mantra , inhaling in awareness, exhaling with the vibration of Aum , allowing breath, sound and mind to slowly attune to stillness.
As awareness settles into the luminous pause between breaths, a deeper listening begins to awaken , a turning toward Anāhata Nāda, the unstruck sound, the vibration that arises not from contact, but from silence itself.
Supported in restorative shapes, crystal singingbowls create a gentle field of resonance, where outer vibration meets inner quiet. Nothing to do , only to listen, to soften, to receive.
We close with warm green tea, or Binny’s special masala chai, and nourishing vegan bites , a simple ritual to ground, connect and integrate.
A subtle recalibration. A return to the unstruck.

If this found you... Breathe… Read this slowly… Sometimes life doesn’t ask you to be strong…
it asks you to soften.
To pause.
To breathe.
To trust the space in between.
Because not every fall is a breaking,
some are simply an invitation
to remember how to rise.
Come back to your breath.
Again… and again… and again.

wrote these lines as her last will. This “will” reads less like a farewell and more like a distribution of her soul to the world. Every line gives something away , dreams to women who forgot how to dream, laughter to the lonely, colours to the widowed, tears to poets, and even her anger to the youth who will one day challenge the system.
What makes these lines so , especially the last stanza, is the profound humility within it. After giving away everything beautiful, she chooses to take her flaws with her. No excuses, no hiding. Just a quiet acknowledgement that the darkness within us is ours to burn.
It feels like a final act of , a reminder that while we may gift the world our light, our shadows are ours to transform.
Amrita Pritam was not just a poet… she was a revolution in words. One of the most literary voices of the Indian subcontinent, she wrote about love, pain, freedom, , and the wounds of society with a rare honesty. At a time when women were expected to remain silent, she wrote boldly about desire, loss, injustice, and the inner life of women. Her work carried the courage of someone who refused to look away from truth. And perhaps that is why these words resonate with so many of us. Because somewhere in them, we recognise both our wounds and our power. ✨
