As we say every week in our pre-run brief ‘without volunteers parkrun would not happen’ So here’s a big shoutout for our wonderful volunteers.
📣 THANK YOU 📣
Our parkrun volunteers ensure that the event continues week after week. They have a great vibe which reflects on every single person who attends.
Our course may be tough but it’s the volunteers who make the difference. Visitors constantly state what a friendly event we are.
THANK YOU to all our fantastic, fabulous, awesome, wonderful volunteers for making us who we are.
The BEST parkrun team!!

Bramley Parkrun #466 run report,
30 May 26
10.2% of today’s field (21 athletes) set a new personal best time - on the
auspicious occasion of the inimitable Jean Hollings 700th volunteering activity. (That last takes a bit of doing).
We welcomed 9 people taking their first steps into the parkrun world.
34 park-runners from around the globe choose to visit Bramley today.
Hopefully you will all be back soon.
Matt Weston (MV35) was both first pb setter and first finisher in 18:26, ahead of Zac
Macdonald (MS25) in 18:53 and runner Ben Moore (MV40) in 19:01.
Despite, or maybe because of sharing a characteristic with celebrity Kim, ninth finisher
Hugh (MJ15) posted a commendable 20:51.
Breezer Jack (MV85) who’s on sparkling form, again lowered his personal best, this time to
34:07.
No quarter asked, it seems - 197th finisher Kaden (MJ15) completed his 75th
Parkrun in 55:00, one second ahead of Hazel Wider (FV50).
Run director was Philip Ramsden assisted by Cara-Fai Shale, completing her volunteering experience. Thank you.
Various Breezer Tailwalkers included Charlee Roney, credited with the same 62:42 as Carolyn Speight, and
the usually rapid Jill Jarvis, who finally completed the course in a more leisurely 64:07.
Congratulations to Max Ramsden on his 25th and to Matthew Hunt on his 100th parkrun. We look forward to seeing you wear your parkrun milestone merchandise with pride. 😊
Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped cheer the 206 finishers.
Peter J. Yates.

If you were at Bramley parkrun this morning. I’d like THANK YOU for being there to help celebrate an unofficial milestone. 700th volunteer.
Back in 2015 I was unsure I’d continue cos I wasn’t a runner but with support of the team and other participants I’ve stuck around.
The community spirit is outstanding at Bramley where we’ve got a tag line .
Everyone is welcome to join us Saturday mornings to walk, run and volunteer.
Thank you to everyone who returned to Bramley, sent messages and contributed to the balloon, flowers and many other gifts 😊.
It is totally overwhelming.
I’m the one who is privileged to be part of people’s journey from nervous beginners to celebrating achievement of milestones.
Thank you.
Jean

Volunteers:
Usually we would be asking for volunteers this coming Saturday.
Not this weekend as our roster is FULL.
Thank you to everyone who has committed to help this week.
It’s really appreciated. 🙂
However, next weekend is not as full, so please consider volunteering now and have that good feeling knowing you are going to make a difference. 🦺

What a glorious morning at Bramley parkrun 🌿☀️, where 150 participants ran, jogged and walked the course, supported by a fantastic team of 32 volunteers 🙌🦺
💛 A special thank you to our wonderful Run Director, Jean who always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is looked after and that Bramley parkrun runs smoothly 🦺✨
A huge well done to everyone who took part, and congratulations to our first finishers: Duncan Spence in 19:06 and Sophia Quinn, our first female finisher, in 24:31 — also with a shiny new PB 🎉🔥

Bramley was the 4th parkrun on Ali Whalley’s mission to complete 100miles. (In memory of her Mum to support the work of Parkinson’s nurses)
There were some brilliant PBs too, including Nicholas Elms, Helena May Drake, Jack Day, Laura Bollands, Eddie Groom, Zoe Groom, Harley Ball, Henry Persico and Peter Persico 👏✨
