Is your daughter ready for a new challenge?

Methley United Lionesses are inviting all players to our Open Sessions as we prepare for the 2026/27 WRGFL Division One season.

If your daughter is currently:
- playing grassroots football
- playing up a year
- playing in lower age group but excelling
- playing against boys
- excelling in a lower division

And they feel ready to challenge themselves against stronger opposition, and continue their development in a competitive but supportive environment, we’d love to meet them.

We’re looking for 1 or 2 new players to complete our squad. All players are welcome even if you just want an extra training session!

⚽ Here’s to a fantastic 2026/27 season!

For all those who have completed the forms to join our mini lions earlier in the year we have been working through the waiting list and we have around 15 players that we hopefully will be able to start when we are back at the end of September ❤️⚽️❤️

Our u6s group next season will be children who are starting Year 1 in September, our u5s group will be children in F2 from September.

If your child is in the early years in September you can pop your name on our waiting list, though it is likely due to high numbers we will not be able to start them until next September.

Best way to ensure you are on the list is to complete the below expression of interest form, we will then be in touch over the summer holidays assigning places - we aim to start around mid to end of September.

Methley Mad Dogs U8s, what a set of lads these boys are. They have been none stop all weekend, stayed up until the early hours watching the England game together and still got up and got to the semis of their first ever beach football tournament!!! Proud is an understatement 💪⚽💙

The U10 Reds had a fantastic weekend away at the beach football, creating bonds and making memories to last a lifetime ❤️

Methley Lions U11’s at Beach Soccer 🏖️⚽

A tough day in terms of results, but a valuable experience for the boys.

More importantly, it was a fantastic day with the lads. Seeing them laughing, bonding, and enjoying each other’s company was far more rewarding than winning any football match.

As we come to the end of another fantastic season, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of it.

To our coaches, thank you for your dedication, patience, and commitment. Everything you have done for the children throughout the season has made a real difference, and your time and effort are truly appreciated.

To all of the children, thank you for your enthusiasm, hard work, and for being such an amazing group. Watching your confidence, teamwork, and skills grow has been a pleasure, and you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves.

Finally, thank you to all of the parents and families for your continued support, encouragement, and commitment throughout the season. We couldn’t do it without you.
