ππ»A little studio update - and a very big thank you!ππ»
Firstly, a heartfelt thank you for your continued support of The Dance Studio Leeds. It honestly feels like yesterday that we opened our doors 17 years ago! π₯Ή
Many of you have been with us from day one, and your support has allowed us to continue providing a welcoming space where local dancers, teachers, groups, and communities can come together. We really don't take that for granted. β€οΈ
As you are all acutely aware, price increases have been felt across all aspects of life, particularly over the last year or so. This includes ourselves (and expansion to one side) we've seen huge increases across all general day-to-day building operating costs. Unfortunately, this means weβve now reached the point where changes are necessary to ensure the studio's future sustainability.
Therefore, studio hire prices (effective 1st Sept) and class prices (effective 1st Oct) will be increasing and weβll share full details in our newsletter over the next few weeks.
These changes will help us continue to look after and improve our facilities, manage day-to-day upkeep, cover increased rates and utilities, and ultimately strive to provide a better service and experience for everyone who uses the studio.
Thank you so much for supporting our independent dance studio; it genuinely means the world. π«Ά
Hereβs to the next 17 years of dancing! ππΊ

ππ» Meet Molly ππ»
Meet our for the month of August, Molly! Molly attends our LGBTQ+ Dance Freedom class with π³οΈβπ π
Molly gave us some absolutely fantastic advice for anyone looking to book their first dance class: " I can feel very self conscious and critical about my body and movements, it's helpful to remind myself that everyone is too focused on their own dancing to focus on mine. I'm the one that notices my "flaws", not others. All humans who are learning make mistakes and that's ok! To remind myself my goal wasn't a perfect performance, it was to have fun doing a form of social exercise I actually enjoy and be kind moving in my body! You have more fun when you stop monitoring yourself, let go and treat yourself kindly."
Congratulations again Molly! ππ»
