Tittesworth Water is situated on the edge of the spectacular Peak District National Park What wildlife can I see there? Where does the water come from?

Tittesworth Water occupies a beautiful setting with The Roaches as its breathtaking backdrop. Severn Trent Water built the visitor centre in 1998 although the reservoir was first constructed as early as 1858. It is now used to store the water supplying homes and businesses in parts of the Staffordshire Moorlands, Stoke-on-Trent and Leek. There are over 100 hectares of rich wildlife habitat, linkin

We've recently setup a number of wildlife cameras to see what animals we have one site! This time we set up a small mammal box to capture images of our smaller residents.

☀️ With a hot few days forecast, please take care of yourself 😎

💦 Keep hydrated - we have a refill station on site and also drinks are available to buy from our onsite café.
🏊‍♂️⛔ Swimming is strictly prohibited - our reservoirs are made to supply water and are extremely deep with hidden infrastructure and hidden currents, this makes them unsafe to swim in.
🥵 Use sunscreen, wear a hat and keep out of the sun at the hottest part of the day.
🔥⛔ No fires or BBQs allowed on site. Why not bring a picnic instead or visit the onsite restaurant.

🚧 CIRCULAR FOOTPATH CLOSURE 🚧
Unfortunately we have had to close the footpath from Crabapple to the dam again today due to the number of people ignoring the barriers and closure signs and henceforth the contractors have to keep stopping to allow them safe passage, therefore making the timeline for the job stretch out. Hopefully it will be open for the weekend!
PLEASE WATCH THIS SPACE FOR UPDATES.
