On Sunday, Seva Johal hosted his Junior Captain’s Day in support of Cancer Research UK and together we raised over Β£7,000. πŸ‘

It was fantastic to see so many juniors taking part and supporting such an important cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated. Special congratulations must go to Seva, who put a huge amount of hard work into organising such a fantastic day. β›³πŸ’™

Tight fairways, tree lined from the first hole to the last, and a card that rewards accuracy over power β›³

It's a course that asks you to think your way round rather than just swing hard. What's the shot you look forward to most when you play The Leicestershire, and which hole still gives you the most to think about? Tell us below πŸ‘‡

Yesterday Yash, Anay and Zach proudly represented the L&RGU in the Keith Tripp Trophy.

The event brings together four counties, with eight players representing each team and the best seven gross scores counting towards the overall result.

Some fantastic golf was played across the team, with a brilliant all round performance seeing Leicestershire & Rutland crowned 2026 Keith Tripp Trophy winners! πŸ†πŸ‘

A special mention must go to Anay, who produced an outstanding round of 76, earning him the best individual gross score of the entire event! ⛳️πŸ”₯

A fantastic achievement from Yash, Anay, Zach and the whole L&RGU team. Congratulations to everyone involved! πŸ†

Yesterday saw a fantastic day of golf as The Leicestershire Golf Club hosted its Club Championships, with the Men’s, Ladies’ and Junior Championships all taking place on the same day for the very first time. The introduction of a 9 hole leaderboard added an extra dimension to the competition, keeping the day exciting from start to finish.

With firm fairways and strong winds making scoring extremely challenging, every player was tested.

πŸ† Men’s Club Champion – Finn Dobson (76, 73)
πŸ₯‡ Men’s Nett Champion – Yash Pankhania (67, 66)

πŸ† Ladies’ Club Champion – Eesha Patel (81, 80), claiming her second Club Championship title.
πŸ₯‡ Ladies’ Nett Champion – Rehana Ismail (73, 75)

πŸ† Junior Club Champion – Tomas Farley (77, 75)

A huge congratulations to all of our winners and everyone who took part.

Finally, a sincere thank you to all of the volunteers who gave up their time to help throughout the day. From starters and ball spotters to scorers and everyone working behind the scenes, the event would not have been possible without your support.
