Thurmaston Bowls Club

The 'overflow' finals day took place on Sunday. Another good day of quality bowling. The Gents Singles was won by Tony runner up Dave Brookes. The Maiden Plate was won by Dawn runner up Maria. The Three Wood Singles was won Tony runner up Janet. Thanks go to the markers Caroline and Steve and the scorers Sue R and Monica. Not forgetting the supporters who not only enjoyed the bowling but tea and biscuits.

What a fantastic day at the clubs first finals day on Sunday. The weather was with us, great games, quality bowling and played in the right spirit. The supporters played their part as well. Thanks also to the markers and scorer. Results Ladies singles final winner Caroline runner up Sheila. Set singles winner Janet runner up Tony. Club singles winner Tony runner up Caroline. 3 wood pairs winners Dawn and Janet runners up Sue and Stuart. The second finals day takes place on Sunday (14th of September) starting at 10am.

This Sunday (7th of September) is Thurmaston Bowls Clubs finals day. Starting at 10am with the pairs final and continuing through the day including the Club singles final. It's free entry come and support your local club and the players who have made it to finals day.

It's Thurmaston Summer Fayre this Saturday 11am until 5pm on the 20th of June at Elizabeth Park.
We are opening Thurmaston Bowls Club. Come in and have fun in the sun by playing target bowls. All you need is a flat pair of shoes, will provide the rest. Mugs of tea available to purchase at the clubhouse.

A good time was had by all at our Big Bowls Weekend open day today.

All Members, this Sunday 25th is part of THE BIG BOWLS WEEKEND to promote Bowls & get new members,
anyone who can come along to help please do, it will be from 1 to 4 (Dave & I will be there at 12 ish to prepare) it would help if players could come & have a roll up & be there to show anyone new, the game of bowls.
Tea & Buiscuits will be available, any money raised on the day can go to Presidents Charity/Club Funds.
All help would be appreciated thumbs up if you can make it.

It is with sad news that we inform you of the passing of Andrew Berridge. Thurmaston Bowling Club send our condolences. Andrew will be missed!

What a great night at the 'Kit Kat Cup' well done Scott and Maria for organising the night. The sun was shinning and the green looked great.
