Congratulations ladies

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WILD WOMEN! 🛶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What an incredible achievement! 💪🌿

Our Wild Women have successfully completed an epic 5-day journey across Scotland, paddling their way from Fort William to Inverness — including two challenging days crossing the mighty Loch Ness! 🌊

This journey has been about so much more than the miles covered. It has been about teamwork, resilience, problem-solving, supporting each other and pushing beyond comfort zones.

From changing weather and tough conditions to long days on the water, camping, navigating and tackling Loch Ness head-on, these women have shown exactly what it means to be strong, capable and adventurous Wild Women. 💜

There have been challenges, plenty of laughter, unforgettable moments and memories that will stay with them for a very long time.

At LOPC, we couldn't be prouder of every single one of them. 👏

Congratulations, Wild Women — what an adventure, what an achievement and what a team! 🛶💜

🏴‍☠️ WILD WOMEN GOES TO SCOTLAND… AND APPARENTLY WE TRUSTED AMY WITH THE MAP! 😂🗺️

Somewhere between the sunshine, the rain, Loch Ness and “It’s just round the corner…” we discovered a few things! 😂

We can paddle across Scotland, carry far too much kit, survive Scottish weather 🌦️ and work as a team… but apparently map reading is still a work in progress! 😂

And then came the Joshua Tree 🌳
No… not California! 😂 The Joshua Tree at Fort Augustus — because apparently after paddling all day, we needed a landmark that looked like it had escaped from the desert!
Wild Women: proving that adventure, friendship and questionable map reading make the perfect combination. 💚🛶

Would we do it again? Absolutely.
Would we let Amy hold the map again? That’s still under investigation… 😂

🛶💜 WILD WOMEN: MIDWEEK CHECK-IN! 💜🛶

Well… if all has gone to plan, our 6 Wild Women, Hayley & Paul should now be somewhere across sunny Scotland! 😂

They’ve gone from 32°C sunshine to Scottish temperatures around 13°C with rain… because apparently that’s what you call a holiday. 🥶🌧️😂

And tomorrow is the BIG ONE…
🛶 THE WILD WOMEN TAKE ON LOCH NESS! 🦕👀

Two days of paddling across the monster’s home, wild camping, questionable weather and hopefully very few arguments over who ate the last biscuit.

📹 And yes… the Loch Ness camera is LIVE!

Results Day reminder 🔥

Whether you’re celebrating, disappointed, relieved, or somewhere in between today — remember this:

Your results are something you achieved, not a measure of who you are.

They don’t define your potential, your strength, your courage, your kindness, your creativity, or the adventures waiting for you.

There’s no single path to an amazing life. Sometimes the best adventures are the ones you never planned for. 🏕️🥾🛶

So celebrate the wins, be kind to yourself if today didn’t go how you hoped, and remember…

You are capable of so much more than a set of letters or numbers can ever tell you. 💙

Whatever comes next, wild adventures are waiting for you🌲✨

We’re holding the fort down here at Wild Women while a bunch of our fabulous members, volunteers and leaders are having the adventure of a lifetime canoeing in Scotlands Great Glen 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🛶

It’s going to be SO rewarding for them but we know it’s also hard work, plus we’ve heard they may have had a smidge more rain than we have in Leicester 😉🌧️

Here’s some messages from us to you, we’re so proud of you all! 🩵

🛶💜 WILD WOMEN: THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 💜🛶
Well… we’re packed.
The trailer is loaded.
The barrels are full.
The barrels have even been named. 😂
Which means there’s only one thing left to do…
PADDLE ACROSS SCOTLAND! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🛶
Monday morning, 6 Wild Women, Hayley & Paul head off from Fort William for 5 days of paddling, camping, questionable decisions and hopefully making it to Inverness in one piece.
Loch Ness is waiting. 🦕👀
Nessie has been warned.
The camera is ready. 📹
The tea is packed. ☕
And the Wild Women rules remain firmly in place:

DON’T DIE.
DON’T BE A Dxxk
DON’T GET PREGNANT. 😂

🌿 What a week we have planned at LOPC! 🌍💚

We’re getting stuck in and giving our River Soar and surrounding habitats some much-needed love!

🚣 Thursday 13th & Friday 14th August
Paddle UK are joining us for a BIG River Clean-Up! We’ll be getting out on the water, tackling litter and helping make a difference to the river we’re lucky enough to call home.

🧹 Saturday 15th August
We’re teaming up with Canal & River Trust for another big clean-up effort — because apparently we like rubbish so much, we’re collecting it! 😂

🌱 And that’s not all…
Amy will also be at LOPC on Saturday, helping you discover more about invasive non-native species — what they are, why they can cause problems for our native wildlife, and what we can do to help.

So whether you fancy getting on the water, getting your hands dirty or simply learning a little more about the environment around us…

Come and join us! 🌿
Small actions. Big difference. 💚
