5 lovely little Shetlands (Tickle, Lollipop, Tia, Cuddles and Fifi) all had hunter clips with varying half and full faces 🩷

Sometimes owners don’t scrub enough! 🧼

Make sure you have the right tools for bathing!

• Hot water is better than cold water for cutting through grease (and your horse will appreciate it more!)
If you don’t have running hot water, then the old fashioned kettle will be your best friend!

• A good clarify shampoo - my go to is the Wahl Dirty Beastie. It comes in small 500ml bottles which retail for around £12, but you can also get 5litre jugs of it for around £25 which is much more cost effective and will last you ages!

• A scrubby brush gets down to the skin, whereas a sponge only really gets the surface of the coat.
My favourites are the or those cheap plastic body brushes.

• Elbow grease - you need to put effort into scrubbing!
