What a day! 🙌 Today the TCA crew swapped dojo for the battlefield and put their teamwork, tactics and competitive spirit to the test! 🪖🎨

Plenty of paint, plenty of laughs, and definitely a few tactical victories (and questionable decisions 😅). Most importantly, it was a fantastic opportunity to get everyone together, have some fun and build an even stronger team spirit.

Big thanks to everyone who took part and made today such a memorable outing! 💪

A solid day on the mats with 3 bouts for 𝕯 coming away with 3 wins on points to take 🥇

Most of the matches were won through control and dominance—hitting clean double legs, stuffing shots with heavy sprawls, circling to the back, and staying composed from start to finish.

Plenty to build on, but happy with David's performance overall.👌

A big thank you to Hanif from PrintPrint and his team Martin and Dean for the exceptional service we have experienced getting our windows signage done.

The recent heatwave made it pretty evident that we needed a solution to protect the mats which were looking like a BMX track due to the amount of heat emitted per SQM.

I called Hanif and from the advice of his fitter (Martin) they installed two types of film, Solar reflective and Frost. Having done my own research I was sold on Solar Reflective film, it just proves you can't beat experience, with over 40 years of installing under his belt Martin surprised me by how the frosted film would disperse the light and heat whilst still allowing a decent amount of light in.

Having the film side by side installed also gave us the option to make our own decision based on his experience and we were not disappointed.

The artwork, needed a few tweaks and Hanif was quick with any alterations and delivered exactly what we needed.

Advertising and blocking the sunlight all in one.

Tiago Cabral what can I say?

This has been a long time coming, and nobody deserves it more.

He's never turned down a fight. Never looked for the easy route. He's always stepped up, put the work in, and when things haven't gone his way, he's gone straight back to the gym to fix what needed fixing.

Last night, all that sacrifice, discipline, and resilience paid off as he became the Elite FC Flyweight Midlands Area Muay Thai Champion.

A big thank you to Yogi and the team for the opportunity, a great show yet again, professional and some cracking fights.

As a coach, moments like these make every early morning, every hard session, and every setback worthwhile. Titles aren't won on fight night, they're earned through the countless hours that nobody sees.

I'm incredibly proud of the fighter you've become, but even more proud of the person you are.

This is just the beginning. Enjoy this moment, you've earned every second of it.

Congratulations, Champ. Onwards and upwards. 🏆🥊

Get behind the lads as we are back out on Saturday the 4th July in Birmingham at the Easy Side Rooms!

Main Fight of the evening we have Tiago Vs Markus, will it be repeat or revenge? All at stake with the boys fighting for the vacant Elite FC Flyweight Midlands Area title up for grabs!

Jack makes his debut on Elite against an opponent with similar experience. Looking forward to this one!

Ash will be fighting in his second K-1 bout and again will be making his debut on the Elite show. Will he get the stoppage? We shall see!

Jack initially rocked up for a Kickboxing bout at the most recent 𝙁𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙍 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙇𝙐𝘽. His team mate who suffered an injury at a grappling comp was unable to compete and left his opponent on the day unmatched in MMA.

Now, bearing in mind Jack has zero grappling experience, I asked him if he fancied getting the cage and stepping in for his team mate as they were the same weight.

Jack "Nah I can't grapple..."
Harcus "You can clinch right?"
Jack "F**k it, shall I just do it?"
Harcus "That's the spirit!"

Jack remained composed and calm despite going into something completely alien to him being MMA.

Jack showed his opponent a superior masterclass in Striking and utilised his clinch and Muay Khao skills and dominated using skill and control.

I saw at one point that he was trying to figure out the standing darce choke 😆 soon reverted back to clinch and knees.

He also, showed a lot of control and composure in his Kickboxing bout, landed the cleaner better timed shots against an aggressive opponent.

Ultimately this resulted in ᴊᴀᴄᴋ
winning a prize giveaway by PFX Sports, who kitted him out with a range of gear which I hope he will put to use in his training today!

It's been a while since we have been at an Interclub recently, but it was nice to visit the infamous Fearless MMA home to Coach Kamby Wrestling and

We had a mix of 7 Juniors and 1 Adult competing across MMA, Boxing and Kickboxing, all of whom did exceptionally well and took away lots.

As a coach you are always looking for perfection and there is always lots to work on following these outings, and that isn't to take away the courage it takes to step in with most of the fighters being their first time competing.

Interclubs run by 𝙁𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙍 𝙄𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙍𝘾𝙇𝙐𝘽 allow young people and adults to gain valuable experience and to get a sound understanding of the levels it takes before the next level, being amateur bouts.

Jas exceptional referring, keeping things safe and fair. His passion as a fighter echoes through his referring and it's always a pleasure catching up.

We also had the pleasure of meeting the faces behind PFX Sports and they had some good quality gear on offer. We look forward to communicating in the very near future as we plan to upgrade some of the gear at the new home for TCA.

I have to say the highlight for me was ᴊᴀᴄᴋ stepping in to replace an injured teammate and bear in mind he has zero grappling experience, we had a chat and he said "ah f**k it let's do it" one of the many reasons we get along, we joked and said he has the whole of the Muay Thai community resting on his shoulders as he took on an MMA fighter. Safe to say he dominated the fight, Muay Thai 1 - MMA 0 😆

What a day at the Leicester Grappling Series Summer Open! 🥋🔥

We took a team of 9 competitors to the mats today, and 7 of them came home with medals — an incredible effort from everyone who stepped up and represented the team.

🥉 2 Bronze

That's a total of 7 medals from 9 competitors and a fantastic reflection of the hard work, consistency, and commitment shown in training every week.

Win, lose, or draw, we're proud of every athlete who competed today. The courage to test yourself under pressure is what competition is all about, and our team showed that in abundance.

A huge thank you to the coaches, training partners, supporters, and families who continue to help make days like this possible.

Back to the academy next week with plenty to build on. Congratulations to all our competitors! 👏💪

From doing what we love most on Saturday to then attending the Haus of Respect event by on the Sunday, Coach Harcus and Tiago Cabral had the pleasure to network with an array of inspirational people that have endured DV or are ones that can lead the change in reducing DV and raising awareness about how to combat the seriousness and different forms of DV which isn't always physical.

We also met the winner of Big Brother 2005 at the event whom we had the pleasure of having a good chat with before his inspiring keynote speech. Loved his approach and the importance of never giving up, check out his project called "Never Throw in the Towel" tackling mental health amongst men.
