Our U13 Eagles travelled to Melton at the weekend. They lined up in their new Away kit kindly provided by and Sponsored by Kalsi Legal. Thanks to Nav and all the team for their generous support.

Austin was captain for the day to mark his 100th appearance for the team👏🩵.

Unfortunately the result didn’t go the way the boys wanted suffering a defeat at the hands of a competitive Melton Foxes team, coach Ben commented’ We have a few bits we can work on in training this week: anticipation and decision making, plus good old-fashioned hunger and desire to get to the ball!!’

Anyone at our ground Sunday lunchtime would have witnessed an absolute cracking game between our U10’s and Whetstone Athletic.
An entertaining, end to end, high scoring, high quality game that ended in a draw,.
Arlo got player of the match for our Falcons with his highlight being this superb finish after a fantastic team move 🙌🩵

The U8’s are currently our most resilient team in the Club.!
In the last few weeks they have found themselves two goals down in a game, three goals down and even five goals down on Sunday but on every occasion they have fought back💪🏻🤝👏

Coach Dan Barley said ‘The way the boys turned the game around to overcome a disappointing start was a joy to watch and the level of teamwork and individual confidence shown is something we can build on going forward. Well done to all the boys!’ 🩵⚽️

He also said ‘it would make things easier if they played better from the start in games’😂😂

Player of the Match this Sunday went to Grey for his high energy performance and inspiring his teammates to fight back through his calming and positive influence.👏

Asfordby Superstars 0 Thurlaston Juniors Girls 1 🙌🩵
A great result for our U13 Girls as they brought home all three points from a difficult away game.
The all important Goal came in the 22nd minute with Maisie putting in a great cross which Ania took in her stride and finished calmly.
It was a total team/squad performance by the girls with every player playing well. They showed great control by dominating possession throughout the match.
Well done Girls 👏👏👏
Pictured is a very happy Maisie who was player of the match, she had an excellent game on the wing including providing the key assist for the winning goal🙌⚽️🩵

Raptors in Red! The U12 Raptors travelled to Highfield Rangers on Sunday in their away kit and put up a great fight against a very strong Highfield’s team.
The Raptors conceded an early goal but the boys fought hard securing a deserved draw with a low pile driver from Ted in the dying minutes of the game. 🙌
Parent's player AND coaches player went to Elliot Rose. He received a seriously tough challenge but he kept going and is learning his new role in the team really well.

Top work Raptors... The return fixture against Highfield’s is this Sunday but this time it’s at Fortress Thurlo!🩵💪🏻

The club would like to give a huge shout out and thanks to the parents and coaches who referee our younger games when the league are unable to provide a ref. On Sunday morning we had two such games with Ash reffing our U8’s and David Preston reffing our U11’s.
Next time you see a parent or coach reffing our games remember to say thanks as without them volunteering our children wouldn’t be playing matches 🩵👏👏
