Oadby (Granville) Tennis Club

The 2026 LTA Leicestershire Tennis Festival/Tournament came to an end this weekend after 9 days of great tennis and with 24 club members taking part. Huge congratulations to Oadby winners and finalists : -

Ladies' Singles winner : Charlotte
Men's Singles finalist : Ben Minski
Ladies' Doubles winners : Tabitha Holmes/partner
Ladies' Doubles finalists : Amy Eastman/partner
Mixed Doubles winners : Tabitha Holmes/Jack Minski

Men's 60+ Doubles winners : Gary van der Byl/partner

Men's 35+ Doubles Plate winners: Hussein Khan/partner

The Leicestershire Tennis Festival continues tonight, with quite a few matches featuring Oadby members.

Ben will hardly be off court….!!
At 5.30 he plays brother Jack in the singles
At 7.00 Ben and Jack team up to play doubles
At 8.00 Ben and Rosie play the final set of their mixed doubles vs Oli N/partner, unfinished from last night.

Also on court are Amy/partner, Katie/James, Sue P/Andy S, Phil P.

All matches likely to be at the Leicestershire Tennis Club, Westernhay Road and spectators are very welcome.

Leicestershire Tennis Festival is now underway, as from 10am today. Lets’s hope for a week of good weather and great tennis.

24 club members are taking part in both the level and handicap events - we wish them all the best.

Matches are played mainly at the Leicestershire Club (Southernhay Road) and spectators are always very welcome to watch and support !!

Also, huge congratulations to Leicestershire Men’s team ! After a week at Hunstanton in the County Cup they also secured promotion to Division Two.

Great to see club members Ben, Jack and Matt in the team once again too !

Not entered before ? Perhaps try one of the handicap singes/doubles events. You will receive/give points depending on how your standard of play compares with your opponents.

It's always popular with Oadby members and there have been lots of club winners/finalists across all events over the years.

Congratulations to Oadby Ladies 5th team who cane top of Division 6 and have gained promotion!

Congratulations to OGTC’s Matt Howse who, with his partner Liam Hignett, were finalists at the M25 tournament in Balio, Spain last week, narrowly losing 7-10 in the match tie break.
