CAA Consultation on Manchester Low Level Corridor - closes 8 June 2026.
Paramotor and Sub 70Kg pilots may wish to respond:
In February 2025 the UK Civil Aviation Authority introduced the North West Transit Corridor, replacing the Manchester Low Level Route.
The change was introduced to improve safety, simplify the airspace structure, reduce airspace infringements and maintain access for General Aviation operating between the Manchester and Liverpool control zones.
As part of the regulatory process for reviewing airspace changes, the CAA is now undertaking a Post Implementation Review (PIR). This review considers whether the change has delivered the intended outcomes and whether any unintended impacts have occurred.
Feedback from pilots and other airspace users forms an important part of this review.
This short survey asks about your experience of operating in the North West Transit Corridor since its introduction.
The survey should take around five minutes to complete.
Your feedback will help inform the CAA’s assessment of the effectiveness of the change.

Due to last minute drop outs, the BHPA has two spare tickets for this year's Royal Aero Club Medals and Awards Lunch at Brooklands Museum on Tuesday 12 May 2026. They cost £90.00 per ticket, we are willing to let them go at £45 each. The meal selections have already been made: 2 x Salmon, 2 x Chicken Supreme and one of each of the desserts - clearly not suitable for vegetarians.
The tickets include access to the museum for the day.

Forwarded from the Royal Aero Club inbox:
Dear Air Sports Federations & Aeroclubs,
Most young hang glider pilots quit — not because the sport is too hard, but because there’s nobody their age around. They fly with people twice or even thrice their age, feel out of place, and slowly disappear. Next Aero Gen Fly Camp is built to change that. And you can help get the word out.
Next Aero Gen Fly Camp is a week of hang gliding in Laragne, French Alps. For pilots aged 16–27, from all over Europe, at all levels. Flying, coaching, and spending time with people who are at exactly the same point in the sport and their lives. Organised by Delta Fly Adventures, with safety and coaching as the foundation. Pricing is kept low and all-inclusive.
Dates: August 2–8 or 9–15, 2026 (final confirmation coming soon)
Location: Laragne, France

We’re reaching out to you because your network matters. A mention in your newsletter, a post on your socials, or a forwarded email to your younger members, teams, clubs or schools: that’s all it takes. Registration is already open.
