IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 🙌🏼

Hi all, as many of you have supported me on my journey for so many years I feel it’s only right I involve you on my next adventure, my daily routine may look a little different from now on. That being said I would like to announce my departure from the GB Boxing Team. Having been on the Team for almost 4 years and advancing to Podium Squad, there’s been ups and downs but overall I will forever be thankful for the opportunities I was given and the experience being a part of GB allowed me to develop and learn from. However, after careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that GB may just not be the environment for me at this current time in my life, at the prime of my career I don’t want to miss out on opportunities I may never get to turn back the clock and experience again due to this I have decided to respectfully forfeit my place on the team to see where another path may lead me. I’m ready for something new and exciting, to take control of my career and see what’s next and I hope you will continue to follow along with me as I navigate the future as an upcoming professional boxer 🥊 See you on the other side 👊🏼

I’m beyond grateful for all the support from both Team GBs Team and yourselves over my time with the Team, as well as the immense opportunities I was provided during my journey and experience gained. I do not regret my time with GB but I do feel although it was an unforgettable experience it was also a major learning curve for me in many ways. Not only teaching me about myself and what I want out of life but also opening my eyes to so much more in both Sport as a whole and Boxing.

I have big changes on the way. I will not put a timeframe on what’s to come as it’s a process that I want to do right but just know plans are in the making. I need structure, freedom and a routine that best allows me to be my best self in my Sport and that’s what I aspire to reach. Balance my way. We should enjoy our sport like we did at the beginning, it doesn’t have to be a pressure cooker on high and I think sometimes we forget that so I’m going back to my roots!

In regards to boxing and Sport over my time progressing through Amateur ranks. I’ve began to realise how much we sometimes lack the support systems and understanding we should all have available, improvements are needed in more than one aspect. Some of those being Women’s health, mental health, those struggling financially or with home life and neurodivergence. There is a severe lack of understanding in the Sports World for people that fall into these categories and it resultantly causes a large decline in people participating, feeling welcome or comfortable to pursue and enjoy their sport. I for one at times have felt extremely let down as I know many others have around me. I hope to campaign for this in future as I move forward in my career and shed light on this in order call for change and I hope you will support me in my cause.

Once again, I would like to thank you all for your support and for listening. Keep an eye out for the next “big update.” It may take a minute but I promise not to disappoint. My journey may look a little different to how I expected but my goals never changed. I look forward to seeing my old self come back with a new and improved mindset and a handful of new tricks 🥊 see you there 🙌🏼 THIS ISN’T THE END.

Hi all the gym will close after the session on Wednesday 15th July it will then reopen on Wednesday 29th July. This is due to coaches holidays and to allow the boxers a couple of weeks rest and time to enjoy the holidays before we get back in the gym for pre season training 🥊 thanks all 🥊

Hi all with England playing tomorrow numbers are expected to be low in the gym. Chris will put on one session combined for anyone who does wish to train beforehand. (You all know his not bothered about England 😂😂) the sessions will run 3.45 - 4.45 for those who wish to train this is obviously optional 🥊

With the temp set for the rest of this week extremely hot and the season drawing to a close as well as Chris being at the hull box cup Friday we have decided to shut the gym for the rest of the week. All sessions will commence as normal from Monday thanks all. Don’t forget also the doctor is scheduled for Saturday 4th July morning for all boxers to get a re medical!!

Not to be for our Callum in the semi finals of the Ed bilbey box cup, after winning with a great performance yesterday today he lost but left a winner , he was superb against a proper tricky operator and this years ABA champion! he’s over the moon with his performance and so was coach Johno and that’s all we ask 🥊🥊

Well done to Dan the Man on his skills contest on the Leicester lightning show 🥊🥊 not many show dedication like this lad or doesn’t go unnoticed 🥊
