🎭 AUDITIONS: YOUNG CHARLIE & YOUNG LOLA 🎭 Kinky Boots - Sky Theatre

Are you 9-12, full of energy, and ready to stomp into the spotlight?

Sky Theatre is casting Young Charlie Price and Young Lola/Simon for our upcoming production of ‘Kinky Boots!’

We’re looking for:
1. *Unbroken voices* - boy sopranos/trebles only for both roles
2. *Age*: 9-12 years
3. *Height*: Approx 4ft 9in to 5ft
4. *Confidence* - these roles open the show!

About the roles:
Young Charlie: Smart, curious, dreams of something more than the family shoe factory.
Young Lola/Simon: Bold, fearless, already knows exactly who he is. Big personality, big vocals.

No experience needed - just enthusiasm and commitment! Rehearsals are in August 2026 and the show is between the 8-12 Sep 2026 at Melton Theatre. Show fee: £180.

Spotted: Loughborough

We are delighted to welcome Miss Jess to our teaching team as a cover teacher 🎩Having been a valued member of the Top Hat family for many years, it is wonderful to see her begin this exciting new chapter on the other side of the Dance floor. We are incredibly proud to watch her transition from student to teacher 💃

Jess started dancing at the age of 8 and quickly fell in love with it. Jess then joined Top Hat Academy Of Dance at the age of 11 where she developed her skills and passion for performing.

As her training progressed she discovered a love for all things musical theatre, which sparked a passion for the performing arts that continues to grow today. Jess has performed in numerous productions at venues including the Curve Theatre, Loughborough Town Hall, The Little Theatre, and Melton Theatre. Some of Jess’s favourite roles to date have included Aladdin, Cinderella, Rachel Ditchfield, and a Nicest Kid in Hairspray the Musical, alongside ensemble roles in many other productions.

Jess can’t wait to get start her teaching role and she’s extremely excited to be back with her Top Hat family. 🩷
