Online Client Transformation! π
So this client came to me wanting help to change the way she looked and felt about food and training in the gym!
This client is:
1. A mother of 2.
2. Has a full time job (35+hours).
3. Part time side business.
She fell in the trap of binge eating and not being consistent when training. She explained that her confidence dropped low and felt very fatigued and tired. She had enough and wanted to make a change.
We communicated through messages and phone calls to setup a clear plan to follow and execute.
Iβll let the pictures do the talking.

Listening to your body ππ½ββοΈ
Recently Iβve been feeling under the weather and my body has not been as responsive since being back at the gym after lockdown. This also had an impact on my lower back as I injured it and ended up with a herniated disc π¬. Road to recovery is fully on!
It only made sense that I incorporated a rest week as I had Ragdale Hotel & Spa booked for a couple of days. A couple of spa treatments and sitting in the whirlpool bath all day has really helped me to get a break both mentally and physically.
Sometimes taking a few steps back to be able to move forward is whatβs needed.
Giving your body a break is necessary.
Iβm ready and raring to get back into the gym next week to push forward!

Morning Supplements π
This is what I take every morning to ensure Iβm progressing outside of the gym:
1. Organic Turmeric Curcumin & Organic Black Pepper - I think we all know the major benefits of turmeric and the fact that it has taken the world by storm as one of the top supplements. Helps with reducing inflammation and improve digestion.
2. Glucosamine Sulphate - Important components of your bodyβs moving parts - making up key parts of tendons, ligaments and cartilage, as well as the synovial fluid that lubricates joints.
3. Fish Oil - Best way to get Omega-3 Fatty acids. Rich in Omega 3s, consisting of EPA, DHA, and DPA.
4. Vitamin C - Boosting the immune system function (especially with Covid), supports the nervous system and provide antioxidants.
5. Vitamin D3 + K2 - Vitamin D supports in regulating the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body which contributes to bones, teeth and keeping muscles healthy. Vitamin K helps to prevent blood clotting, bone metabolism and regulating blood calcium levels.
6. Multivitamins - To fill out any other nutritional gaps missed out from the vitamins list. π
Many people forget the importance of supplements and getting the right ones in your body. Taking the correct supplements will enhance your progress in and out the gym.

Rest days ππ½ββοΈ
Rest days are absolutely vital, if not one of the most important factors to working out and staying in good health. You donβt get fitter and stronger in the gym, you get stronger through the adaptations that take place in your body during rest and recovery days.
Currently, I take 3 rest days in the week as I feel this is the sweet spot for my recovery. This might differ for you as its key to listen to your body and adapt to different environments.
For anyone getting back into gyms/fitness just listen to your body. Go at a pace you can consistently stick with week after week.
Now rest up! π

Mindset π§ π
I donβt just go to the gym to complete a workout and tick boxes, I go in with the right mindset. I go into the gym aiming to progress from last weeks performance and making sure that this session is better than the last.
Music helps me to focus mentally. I also take the time to plan my workout in a notebook to make sure Iβm prepared to kill the session.
Having a positive mindset will help you meet your fitness goals faster.

Recovery ππ½ββοΈ
* Its been a couple of weeks getting back into the gym and Iβm steadily getting back in the swing of things.
* Whilst working from home since last year March, my lower back has taken a beating due to sitting on the chair for long periods of time!
* Had to make a visit to the one of the best therapists who, just in one session relieved all the pain I had via cupping and mobility exercises.
Itβs important to listen to your body and not ignore the pain as this can have detrimental affect on your training and day to day activities.
