Vision Boards | Mood Boards
🖤I do love a vision board, I made them for my wedding, my house, my garden... Pretty much everything I do involves one of these and birth was no different
🖤It's such a simple yet powerful way to get your ideas, wishes, dreams, feelings etc down on paper or Pinterest!
🖤It's a great way to get you thinking about what you want your birth to look like, how you want to feel, what your birthing environment will look like... Lighting, sounds, scents...
🖤It's not a birth plan but it's a lovely place to start, is a great communication aid and lovely to do with your birth partner

TIPS FOR EARLY LABOUR
Here's just a few of my top tips for you during early labour

Buying a birthing or gym ball is one of the best things you can invest in for your pregnancy and birth
There are so many benefits to using a ball, here's just a few
🌿Great for posture when sitting on
🌿Increases blood flow to the uterus, placenta and baby
🌿Great for optimal foetal positioning, creating space in your pelvis and encouraging baby down
🌿Encourages movement, trust me you'll instinctively rock and sway away
🌿Can support active birth movements such as a lunge or all fours
🌿Can shorten first stage of labour
It's also great for your postpartum period too, it's soft, it's squishy so is lovely to sit on and great for feeding baby on too
So if it's not on your pregnancy wish list, get one on there! Just check you get the right size, DM me if you need any guidance.

How many of these have you googled during your pregnancy?
🌿I know I certainly googled some of these in the past, read far to much rubbish and probably finished up feeling a bit overwhelmed and no better off
🌿For some stuff it's great but most of the time it's best to stay well clear and only listen to factual, honest information about your pregnancy and birth that is relevant for you
🌿FYI.... We cover all of these things on all of my courses.
🌿FYI... love hearts are great for heartburn

I've had a quick read of some of the chapter titles of this book and I cannot wait to read more!
This week I've attended Gathering in the Knowledge Course and it has been amazing!
It's been great to catch up with current pregnancy related concerns and issues, share a platform with birth workers from around the world and hear their views on so many important topics.
There's still so much more I have to read, to share, more on this soon... But for now I have my glass of red and my book.

3 years of this beautiful baby boy
3 years ago he changed my life...
He made me fall in love with birth, he made me realise the amazingness of the whole journey that we experience
He inspired me to train as a pre/post natal yoga instructor and hypnobirthing teacher.
He motivated me to want to support others in the most incredible journey that is pregnancy, birth and beyond

PREGNANCY YOGA
🌿Maintaining strength and flexibility during pregnancy enables you to adapt more effectively and safely to changes that your body is going through, helping to keep muscle strength and good alignment
🌿Alignment changes in pregnancy can cause tightness in our muscles, so regularly stretching through an exercise such as yoga helps to combat some of those common pregnancy discomforts such as back or shoulder ache
🌿Stretching also has a positive impact on your emotional well being.... whilst aligning the spine we are helping ourselves to become centred and calm
🌿Another benefit.... establishing good habits for some “you time” is absolutely necessary (even with a new arrival)
