Our fixtures for 2026-27 are out! 🏑

We will be staying in Division 1 and taking part in the Cup competition again. 🙌🏻

A big welcome to Warwick Mixed Hockey Club who join the league for the first time. 👋🏻

Details on training will be out soon. In the meantime, we recommend some squats to prepare the glutes for battle. 💪🏻

An Oldbag parkrun finally made it out of the Strava chat! Perfect weather for it ☀️. We loved cheering on the runners who put in an excellent effort in the hot heat and meeting lots of other friendly volunteers who helped us with our individual roles. Thank you leicestervictoriaparkrun for being so welcoming. 🩷

If you're thinking of trying out a parkrun either as a runner or volunteer you definitely should! It's fun, easy to join and you earn bragging rights all weekend. 🏃🏻

HAPPY TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO THE OLDBAGS! 🤩

10 years older and more experienced but some things never change, and we would never want them to! 

Some more nostalgia will come over the following weeks as I got too distracted by the OldBags V. Old OldBags game at the weekend to do much oooops..!  But it was very fun and made me remember how special it is to be a part of the OldBags. 🥰

Playing with people who made the club what it is Today at the weekend was a perfect Saturday. 🩷

Thank you to everyone who has ever stepped into a less preferred position, tagged along for 'just one game' and stayed, or just been a part of this very special journey from a small group of hockey friends to a vibrant hockey club. 🎉

At the weekend we hosted our AGM and End of Season Social with games in the park. A big well done to our award holders for their individual awards, and to the whole team for being recognised with a Sportsmanship Award.

Thank you to the committee for keeping the club going this year, leading us on match day, organising off the pitch fun, delivering training sessions and making sure our admin is all up to date! .jones30 .lats

Family photoshoot with our Sportsmanship Award.

Last night the OldBags Team accepted the Sportsmanship Award for the 2025-26 season. It means a lot to be recognised for being an inclusive and welcoming club, and for being a friendly opposition as these are all things we try to instill within the club. We love hockey ♥️

A huge congrats to the other clubs and players who received awards, especially Tracey who implemented the loan system this year and for winning the Senior Cup.

Today is our AGM where more awards are up for grabs!

A huge work rate and plenty of play to be proud of, but some bad luck in front of goal sees us out of running for the silverware this year.

There was a great spread for Bag of the Match with votes for .jones30 George, Jack and Imogen. But Coming out on top this week with three votes each are and .lats

That's the end of the 2025-26 season, but the hockey isn't over! Next week we celebrate and at their BagHenStag. 🥂
