When you look out into the storm its dull, black and white and we let it drain the colour from our being.
If you look closely though, the colours are still there, waiting to burst through as soon as the glimmer of the sun comes out from the clouds…. There is beauty in the storm.
The beauty is realised because of the storm, not in spite of it.
We are imprisoned by how we experience the world. It is experienced through the limitations of our thoughts. Many think of it in terms of black and white, they never realise there are many ways to experience the same event.

We can help with that

This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor…… welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. There isn’t a lot of difference in good and great.
It is no harder to build greatness than it is to build something good.
It takes more energy to continue to be mediocre.
The difference between good and great…. When you get to good you have to assess and come to a realisation of clarity.
Once you have clarity you have, happiness, enjoyment, a purpose…….. and then hitting great is easy.

WE ARE OUR ONLY LIMITATION

It isn’t what has happened to us that makes us who we are……. Its what that means to us.
Thats what makes us respond.
Its the meaning we give to experience.

Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.

If bad things are around the corner and we know in advance, we will suffer greatly before they even occur.
If good things are coming they will be a pleasant surprise.
But mostly we predict that the things that are coming, in the future are going to be bad, and when they do they are usually better than we thought.
We are not afraid of what we think we are afraid of, we are afraid of what we think.

We all need, a purpose.
Its the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting, worth living, and gives it purpose.

In Leadership, trust is the most important word. In an organisation/ Team trust must be developed between every member if success is the goal.
Trust comes from truth, telling each other the truth, all the time. There is nothing more important than the truth because there is nothing more powerful than the truth.
Confrontation just means meeting the truth head-on.
This creates a Team/ Organisation where jealousy doesn’t live, they trust each other and support each other. Jealousy is one of those weeds that needs removing straight away as it infects and spreads very quickly.
With truth, great players/ Teammates then understand and want you to be hard on them, so they improve, to be coached, pushed. If you do, it shows care……… that you want them to be the best they can be.

Effective Teamwork and high performance in Teams begins and ends with effective communication

We set out into the world in search of our dreams and our ideals. We often put things that are actually within easy reach in the most inaccessible of places.
When we realise our mistake, we feel we have wasted our time searching in some far off location for what was always close by.
We blame ourselves for the mistakes we made, for having searched in vain, for unhappiness we caused.
There are some things in our lives that bear a seal on which is written:
“You will only understand my worth when, having lost me, you find me again.”
There is no point in trying to shorten the journey. Sometimes you are in the right place but it isn’t the right time, and you aren’t ready to see it, and they weren’t actually mistakes.
