After 13 years as a chef im now follwing another passion of mine in fitness. I been doing kickboxing for over 10 years and teaching for about 6 years and have now trained as a personal trainer still using my knowlage of food and kickboxing to help my clients today reach there goals

End of an era today was my last Saturday class Abbey Sports Fitness & Leisure I've be teaching classes there for 10 years

And Tues will be my last ever class

It's been a pleasure now it's time for new things

Over the years I've had privilege of meet some great people that have supported my classes for years

End of week 14 now on to my holiday

We did the shoot Sunday and everyone looked amazing

Unfortunately I hate all my pictures and how I looked so won't be posting unless I see something I'm happy with which is unlikely

Weight up 2.6lbs not a surprise as I've had two off plan meals one after the shoot with the guys and then my step sons birthday

How ever things look tighter a week apart crazy

Time to push now and get weight back down for my holiday and then reset and go again after that

TRT Changed My Life (And It Had Nothing to Do With the Gym)
For years, I thought feeling tired, lacking motivation, having a lower s*x drive, and struggling through everyday life was just part of getting older. I accepted it because that's what we're often told—that low energy, low libido, and feeling "off" is simply normal as we age.
It isn't.

This isn't about building muscle, chasing a six-pack, or becoming a bodybuilder. My decision to start TRT had nothing to do with the gym—it was about getting my life back.

Photo dump from the weekend

Wow, what can I say? It was a weekend to remember.

Starting off with a Saturday of having my Client Dan's first bodybuilding show, what an experience and great to see him on stage

The pride that knowing I've got this guy to the where he needs to be and he held his own against the overalls was an amazing feeling for him and myself

Moving from this Saturday to another day on the Sunday of the photo shoot eight Client all showing their full potential and whatever they've achieved over 13 weeks of prep

Another proud moment I've seen these guys going from where they were to achieving a result they never thought possible

Tomorrow I do these fair shoes the more I enjoy seeing the results and getting the guys into the place they never thought possible

Oh my God, and each shot I say I learned something new and this one didn't disappoint with the heat wave hitting hard and absolutely skewering people's body weights and visuals. It brought a whole new life to me after to work with guys and keeping them calm. Something I haven't had to do previous.

So yes again there was another shoot where I learned something new keeping people calm and explaining what s**t is happening within the body

But the end result was eight people looking absolutely amazing in great shape

And exhausting, but thoroughly enjoyable weekend

Proud coaching moment

Wow what a day yesterday was I got to join my client on his journey to his bodybuilding first timers show

And he won his category and looked amazing in the overall up against all the other bodybuilding category winners

Dans journey started back in sept 25 with joining me for a photo shoot prep and he lost an amazing 50lbs and did the unthinkable to him got abs

From there he decided that he wanted to compete in a bodybuilding show

So the start of feb 26 we started working on getting stage ready

And I couldn't be prouder of him doesn't matter what I throw at him he just cracks on and does it.

Our aim was to get a invite to the British finals which we have done

Dan has another show booked in July which we will be taking a different approach this show will be more for stage confidence as we bring him out of prep recover the body and start a small growth phase ahead of the British prep

End of week 13 of shoot prep

I'll be carrying this on for another two weeks after yes to shoot finishes on Sunday but I'm going away on Holly so for two more weeks I want to be dialled in. I will show you guys the end result.

It's been a tough week in the fact that we've had a heat wave which is skewed the bodies visuals weight and made me look crap compared to what was three days ago

It's crazy one minute you feel like yes I actually see results to the next minute thinking what the f**k is going on here

Send your head all over the place because all your effort is the best vision version of yourself it's just hasn't come around in my head

So I'm hoping to come to the shoot will drop down the heat. The body will relax and all the fluid will f**k off.

Yes, I'm a long way away from what I want to look like and what my aim was

Which is why I'm carrying on towards my holiday and then when I get back will start again

For this week, it's just about trying to keep my head level and probably try to relax your body, which is what I am really fine and hard

Cause in my head, I just wanna keep pushing my body and pushing as hard account to get better results. It's not always possible to do that though I know that but it doesn't stop you fighting that.

Five common mistakes made after two years of your journal

Number one, you have no structure with your training plan you just go in and sort wing the Gym

Number two poor sleep you don't concentrate on sleep and that has an effect on your body. Poorly plays a massive part within the body.

Number 3 cal run too low or too high in a surplus what you tend to find as people run their carries way too low we shouldn't stresses their body and they don't get results

Number four training intensity is so poor they have no intent when they're getting to the gym. They're just going through the motions and hoping for results you need to train with an intent and with purpose.

Number five neglecting cardio cardio has its place in both a diet phase and a growth phase and people neglect them which then also impacts health and when you're trying to lose weight it also impacts your ability to lose weight

It's a tough to use to keep the heart health good in a book as you're pushing calories and weight up but also when we in a deficit it's a good way to get some extra calories burn to make a bigger deficit

Why trucking calories can be f**king up your progress?

Quite simply when you track calories, if you're not diligent with what you're doing and you haven't learned properly, you can misreport your food

A lot of people will miss report sources and oils meaning they miss them off and these can lead to a lot of extra calories taking you away from your deficit

So if you're tracking, you need to be really mindful of what have you put in your food and what are you putting on your food?

Simple thing is I took a Client from eating 1200 cal up to 1600 cal but what do we do different? We made sure she was tracking correctly.

We wasn't missing oils and sources we was now adherent the program because there was more food

And we took away meal plan and gave her calories because it was easy to fit in with a home life

Now this may seem like it's magic to most people because we get more food for the reality was with the hidden calories being consumed. She was probably on a s**tload more calories than we reported.

Now because we are have a diligent look at the food foods weight is falling off and she's getting the results she's after

Now you've been tracking colour before or you are currently tracking calories but not achieving the results you want you may be under a report in your food

And if you would like me to have a look over yours, simply send me a screenshot of your tracking calories and I will go over the food with you and we see if we can point out any problems

Chat-gpt coaches are f**king up your goals

Recently had a client reach out to me wanting to join my coach

After a little bit of discussion, she's been watching my results for seven months

And was a little bit apprehensive about contacting me because she previously had a coach that she'd found out her just ChatGPT her programs and I didn't actually given her anything tailored to her

And ultimately didn't get the results she was after

And when this happens, you obviously have them a little bit of trust issues about getting results about having a coach

And this is something that is quite popular within the coaching industry currently whereas people are just using quick and easy ways to give programs out

Now, yeah, ChatGPT could write a program quicker than I can, but it isn't gonna be tailored to you

It isn't also gonna have the critical thinking and being able to change things when issues are right and issues will and do rise

now, I don't know about you, but for myself if I'd had a coach that do this to me, I'd be a little bit upset too and I would definitely be apprehensive about taking another coach on

Now what I will say is if you're thinking about a coach or you feel you need a coach always reach out and talk to that coach that you're watching and get a feel for them

I've had Business mentors and I've had coaches too to help me with my training

I always end up watching these people for sometime before I make a decision

And then I will reach out to them coaches and then get a fee for whether I would want to work with them after that too
