Golfing for a great cause 🩷⛳

This Sunday, a team of local golfers will take on the challenge of playing four golf courses in one day to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer.

Starting before sunrise at Lutterworth Golf Club and finishing at Forest Hill, they’ll also be stopping here at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club at around 1.30pm as part of their journey.

The challenge is being organised by members of our local golfing community, including Chris Sergent, who has spent the last couple of years raising money for cancer charities in memory of his late wife and in support of families facing incredibly difficult times. 💚

We’re proud to be one of the four clubs involved and to support such a worthwhile cause.

As an added bonus, Martin and the team at MB Golf Pro Shop have kindly donated five golf lessons to be given away, with a representative from Young Lives vs Cancer joining us at KMGC during the day.

Captain’s Dinner 2026 ⛳️

A wonderful evening at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club on Saturday as over 110 guests joined us for this year’s Captain’s Dinner.

It was fantastic to see so many members come together to enjoy great company, delicious food and live entertainment in the clubhouse. 💙

A huge thank you to Mpcatering for a superb meal and to Gareth John Music & Nick the pianist for providing the perfect soundtrack to the evening. 🎶

We’re delighted to hear so much positive feedback already and would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success.

Tickets are now on sale for one of the most anticipated events in the KMGC calendar.

Join us on Saturday 8th August 2026 for an evening of live music, great food and summer entertainment on the range, featuring performances from Taylored Swift, 80’s Revellers and This Is Queen.

From sunrise to sunset, there’s always something to appreciate at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club.

Who else thinks golf views hit differently first thing in the morning? 🏌️‍♂️

Assistant Professional - Harry Ellis ⛳

You’ll probably recognise Harry from the Pro Shop, out on the range or helping members fine tune their game with the team at MB Golf here at KMGC.

Harry started golfing in 2017 and turned professional in 2023 at just 19 years old. He joined MB Golf at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club in April 2025 and has quickly become a valued part of the team. 💙

Currently completing his third and final year of the PGA scholarship programme, Harry’s modern and approachable style of coaching has already made him popular with many of our members and pupils.

One of Harry’s proudest achievements came away from competition golf. Following a full elbow reconstruction in 2023, he was told he may never swing a golf club properly again. Despite that setback, he turned professional later that same year - a huge testament to his determination and passion for the game. 👏🏽

Harry’s biggest golf tip?
“Enjoy it and take it as it comes.” 🏌️
