Hello, June... my favourite month of the year.
The Suryaaaaaa month.
June is finally here, bringing all that craziness, summer solstice energy, longer days, sunshine, and of course... my birthday month!
There is always something special about June. It feels full of positivity, expansion, connection, and joy and we are half way through the year .....
Life has been busy as always, juggling everything alongside baby Yanek — who, by the way, is definitely not a baby anymore at 19 months old and already saying some words..... and saying mama all the time 🤪 You'll see him running around at Surya Day for sure!
The first two events in a schedule are now fully booked:
✨ Yoga, Sound Bath & Lunch
✨ Monthly Sound Bath
But there are still spaces available for the rest of this month's gatherings:
✨ Monthly Sound Bath
& Bell Tent in Shepshed at Mellor's Wood
✨ Yoga, Sound & Sunset
✨ Family Yoga & Sound Bath
✨ Strawberry Moon Gong Bath
And then comes our biggest celebration of the year...
SURYA DAY FEST
20th June - Whetstone Pastures Farm
A day celebrating Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day with yoga, workshops, connection, community, sound, and joy.
And of course, we'll finish the Suryanesss way — with a drumming circle led by incredible .happy , jam session co-creating together with great musicians , and dancing our hearts out together with Karina .inmovement and Paul Quinlan - DJ unknown 😉 those who know , know these two are ........ Unbelievable!
We honestly can't wait.
I'd love to see you at one of the events this month.

🌕✨ BLUE MOON GONG BATH ✨🌕
Extended 2-Hour Sound Journey in the Bell Tent
Mellor’s Wood, Shepshed, Leicestershire
Sunday 31st May 2026
6:30pm – 8:30pm
Arrive from 6pm for herbal teas & time to settle in
Hey lovely people,
If you missed Yoga, Sound & Sunset last Friday, join me next Sunday for a special Blue Moon Gong Bath at Mellor’s Wood xx
This May’s full moon is a rare Blue Moon — the second full moon in one calendar month — carrying beautiful energy for slowing down, reflecting, and resetting. It’s also a micromoon, bringing a softer, gentler feeling that’s perfect for deep rest and sound immersion.
Held in the bell tent at Mellor’s Wood, this extended 2-hour gong bath will include a variety of therapeutic instruments, with the gongs being played for a longer, deeper immersion experience. Longer gong baths can help the body settle more fully into relaxation, giving the nervous system more time to slow down, release tension, quiet the mind, and support deeper rest and restoration.
Please bring blankets, cushions, and anything you need to stay cosy and comfortable.
💫 Investment: £20 booking through my website www.suryayogasound.com/events link in bio

Mellor's Wood, Shepshed, Leicestershire
Friday, May 22nd 2026
6pm - 9pm
I’m so happy to bring back my Yoga, Sound & Sunset gatherings at my favourite place - Mellor's Wood in Shepshed.
Spring edition, Friday 22 May — the perfect way to begin the bank holiday weekend and the forecast looks amazing!
We’ll start with gentle yoga, drop into a long immersive sound bath with large gongs, singing bowls and voice, and close in stillness as the day turns to dusk.
If the weather is kind, we’ll practice by the lake and watch the sunset together.
If not, we’ll stay warm in the bell tent with candlelight – trataka meditation.
There’s something really special about practicing in nature.
You hear the subtle sounds around you, your body softens, and everything begins to slow down.
Being close to the earth changes how you receive the sound — the body feels it more fully, not just through the ears, but through the whole system.
The ground naturally carries vibration, so the resonance of the gongs and bowls travels differently, deeper, more embodied.
That’s why I love creating gatherings outdoors — it allows you to land, connect, and receive in a much more grounded way.

✨Join me for a Monthly sound bath at The Space To Breathe Collective this Sunday 10.05 at 6:30 pm 90min ✨
Sound healing is a way to regulate the nervous system.
The sounds of singing bowls, gongs and other vibrational instruments can slow brainwaves, helping you move into a calmer, more meditative state — the parasympathetic state, where we rest and restore.
These instruments are made from natural materials like quartz and different metals, creating vibrations you can feel, not just hear. You can observe this by pouring water into a bowl and striking it — the way the water vibrates shows how sound moves through matter. This is similar to how sound affects us.
It can help you reconnect to yourself, to natural sound, and to something beyond constant mental noise, shifting you into deeper states of awareness.
There is growing research showing that sound can affect stress levels, brain activity, and overall regulation.
It’s not just a trend — it’s a simple, physical way we respond to sound.
