FIRST MATCH OF THE SEASON!

After our opening game was postponed, we’re finally ready to get our T1 season underway tomorrow as we head to Notts Casuals for an 11am kick-off.

We’re raring to go and can’t wait to get out there, play some brilliant T1 rugby and enjoy being on the pitch with a bunch of like-minded ladies.

We’re also so grateful for the Midlands East Ladies T1 League and everyone who has helped get it up and running. It’s giving more women the opportunity to play, meet new teams, make new friends and just enjoy rugby and that’s what it’s all about!

COME ON FOREST! 💙💜🌳

💙💜 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS ARE BACK! 💜💙

This Friday we’re back under the lights as our Women’s Trailblazers T1 welcome Long Eaton to Leicester Forest for our first game in the newly formed Midlands East Ladies T1 League!

The league has officially kicked off this month and we’re so excited to finally get our campaign underway. It’s fantastic to be part of something that’s been set up to give women more opportunities to play competitive rugby and we can’t wait to get stuck in!

We’re also delighted to welcome Long Eaton after they hosted us a couple of weeks ago and were absolutely brilliant hosts. We’re looking forward to returning the favour and making sure they have just as great an experience with us at Forest. 💙💜🌳

And after a couple of weeks to think about that last result… we’re ready for round two. 👀

We’d absolutely LOVE to see as many Forest faces down as possible to get behind the girls and help create a proper Friday night atmosphere! Bring your mates, bring the family, bring the noise.

And of course… stick around afterwards for a cheeky drink in the clubhouse with us! 🍻

Let’s get this league campaign started the Forest way.

Outtakes of our attempt at Wham!

Every journey starts with that first step… and for us, it’s all about turning up, learning and giving it everything we’ve got.

Our women’s contact squad is still at the beginning of this journey, but every session brings more confidence, more teamwork and more smiles. We’re proud of everyone who’s getting stuck in, supporting each other and embracing the challenge together.

Whether you’ve played before or you’re completely new to rugby, there’s a place for you here. Come and be part of something that’s growing every week.

We had an incredible 24 ladies down at training tonight, including six new faces joining us for the first time.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and got involved. It was especially lovely to welcome three ladies from Ivanhoe Cricket Club next door – we hope you enjoyed yourselves and felt right at home!

The session had a bit of everything: fitness, handling skills, a game of T1 Rugby and then some contact work for those who wanted to give it a go. There were plenty of laughs, lots of encouragement and a brilliant atmosphere throughout.

It’s amazing to see our ladies’ section continuing to grow, with new faces giving rugby a try and everyone supporting one another. Thanks to all who came down and made it such an enjoyable session – we can’t wait to do it all again next week!

A special moment from our Awards Evening 💙💜🌳

Our Team Manager took the opportunity to reflect on what has been an incredible year for the Trailblazers, celebrating the achievements, growth, and memories we’ve created together both on and off the pitch.

None of it would have been possible without the perseverance, hard work and enthusiasm of our coaches- Deano and Bri!

As a small token of our appreciation, we were delighted to present them with their gifts at the end of the evening.

Thank you for everything you do for the Trailblazers. 💙💜🌳

Last night was our club Awards Evening, and what a fantastic night it was! 🏆✨

The Women’s Trailblazers turned out in force, making it a truly special evening as we came together to celebrate another incredible season and the people who make our team what it is.

A huge congratulations to our Players’ Player, Nicola, and our Coaches’ Player, Lucy. Both awards are thoroughly deserved and reflect the commitment, hard work, and dedication they have shown throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of you both and delighted to see your efforts recognised.

Congratulations again to all our award winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make it such a wonderful evening. Here’s to an even bigger and better season ahead!

💙🌳💜A New Chapter Begins 💜🌳💙

For the first time in our club’s history, we’re launching a Women’s Contact Team and we’re looking for players to help build something special from the very beginning.

Whether you’re completely new to rugby or have years of experience, this is your chance to be part of the founding squad and help shape the future of women’s rugby at Leicester Forest. With experienced coaches, a welcoming environment, exciting socials and clear pathways for development, there has never been a better time to get involved.

This isn’t just a new team, it’s the start of something that will become a huge part of our club for years to come. We have big plans, exciting opportunities ahead, and we’d love you to be part of the journey.

Join the Trailblazers. Make history. Help us build the future. 💙💜🌳
