A brilliant first competition for Powell Judo Academy at the East Midlands Area Open 🥋🏅

A huge well done to Ethan, Krish, Tia, Freddy and Hannah who all stepped onto the mat and represented the club. For some, this was their very first experience of competitive judo, and we’re really proud of how everyone performed and conducted themselves.

Congratulations to our medallists Tia, Freddy and Hannah 👏🏅

A great first competition for the club. Well done everyone! 🖤💛

There’s always something to learn from a coach who is still out there competing 🥋

Dan teaching Yoko Tomoe Nage with coach Adam before our younger judoka put it into practice themselves.

With some of the team getting ready for their first competitions, sessions like this are all about developing techniques they can take onto the competition mat, building confidence and learning how and when to use them.
