RNLI’s regional water safety team in Ireland is hosting two free online webinars for anyone taking part in a festive dip or swim over the holiday season.

The webinars, which will cover how to stay safe while swimming or dipping, will take place from 8-9pm on Thursday, 4 and 11 December. The webinars will cover the same safety information and top tips on both dates, just select which evening suits you best. Sat here atop the Pyrenees in the beautiful icy cold waters of La Cascade des Anglais waterfall, I thought about where were my all time favourite swim spots (there has been a lot!!) and despite this incredible scene, I will always be a beach guy at heart, so here's my top 3.

In the UK and Ireland, we are fortunate to have over 87,000 RLSS UK qualified lifeguards dedicating their time and expertise to keeping us safe in and around water. Oh what a night... 🎶

Come and join us for the first Sunset Yoga & Swim event of 2025. I will be teaming up again with Paul to offer you this beautiful experience.

This will take place on Sunday 6th July at 8pm at Chalkwell Beach opposite Saltwater Cafe and will last about 90 minutes.

We will begin with Yoga working on a sequence of postures to warm us up and lengthen the muscles, moving on to breath work to prepare us for our swim (or dip if you prefer).

Once out of the water and warm we will enjoy some homemade treats, hot drinks or a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset.

This is a lovely evening not to be missed.

Price is £30 (includes refreshments)
