We all have those weeks where we feel like we can’t catch a break.
You’re tired, the kids are not sleeping, big projects due at work, a house, family and general life admin to contend with, and this week you’re just not quite feeling it all!
It’s easy when life’s like this to skip the gym, order in the take aways and not look after yourself properly.
Try these three simple things when your having one of ‘those weeks’ to help you come out the other side with minimal damage to your progress!

Our social feeds are full of people making fat loss look easy….and you know what if that’s the truth and they are finding it easy, then good for them! Genuinely happy for them!
The reality for most though is that it isn’t that easy, and because we are lead to believe it should be, people quite often think they are doing something wrong!!
Here are some fatloss truths you probably won’t like!!!!
You will be hungry! You’re eating less than before, of course you are going to feel hungry occasionally! A nutrient dense diet will help to combat this, not a if it fits your macros diet!
You will have days that are hard! Losing body fat is not really anyone’s idea of fun is it. You have to make sacrifices, not do the things you want to do, and have to do some things you really don’t want to do! That’s not easy!
It can get boring!!! Food can get repetitive exercise can become a chore and it can feel a bit crap not having treats to look forward to.
It’s not normal (in most cases) to drop half a stone every week! A more realistic target is between 1/2 -2lbs a week depending on your starting point. We want to lose body fat remember, not water and muscle.
It’s something you need to adopt permanently, a lifestyle change if you will! Otherwise guess what will happen if you go back to eating ‘normally’ after you hit your goal……you don’t need me to tell you!
So if this resonates with you and you need help with the above, my inbox is always open!

Are you nailing (what I think are) the basics in your health and fitness?
Those key things that when you do them consistently will put you on the path to success?
💪🏼 Eat enough protein.
💪🏼 Eat whole foods,(stop with the fancy weird recipes!)
💪🏼 Drink 2L of water a day minimum.
💪🏼 Get a decent nights sleep.
💪🏼 Daily movement - get those steps in.
💪🏼 Resistance train….properly….2-3 times per week.
💪🏼 Manage stress levels.
Are the things above always easy to do? No!
Does that mean we should not do them? No!
Should we skip past them and just create ourselves some crazy workout plan and focus on eating lots of goji berries to get our antioxidants instead because that’s what we fancy doing? No!
It’s not always easy, you won’t always get it right, it will always be a work in progress……but make some headway into being consistent with the above and I guarantee you n things will start to shift in the direction you want them to!
My inbox is always open for questions if you have them!

What is fitness? What does it mean to be healthy?
I guarantee if you asked 100 people what being healthy and fit means, you would get a lot of different answers.
So I thought I would share what being fit and healthy means to me!
Well to me it means….
❤️ Waking up in the morning feeling energised.
❤️ Having the energy to chase the kids around and play with them.
❤️ Being able to move easily and without ‘pain’
❤️ Being able to do the exercise I love in the gym and enter my crazy competitions.
❤️ Having balanced moods and a positive mindset.
❤️My IBS being kept under control with my diet.
❤️ My high cholesterol managed and under control with my diet.
❤️ My skin being clear and my cystic acne under control.
❤️ Not needing to look at the scales on a daily basis and just being able to pick my clothes size up off the shelf.
❤️ Allowing myself a ‘treat’ and not worrying about undoing progress.
❤️ Not stressing that I don’t have defined abs at the moment, that I have bit of lose skin and a few bits of me ‘wobble’.
Full disclosure….I don’t do all of the above perfectly all the time, there are days when my dodgy shoulder is playing up, I get into a bit of a negative headspace etc. But part of being fit and healthy is realising that it will always be a work in progress, there is never an end date to it, and accepting that and trying your best each day.
What does being fit and healthy look like to you?

Had the best day Saturday at .dozen , first time doing the event and the first time actually partnering up with Holly which is crazy considering the amount of training we do together. Was very happy with a time of 1.02.11…..even if they did put us in the 50-54 age category 😂😂.
The sun was out, the vibe was good, the event was challenging and the medal afterwards was awesome.
As always I was so happy to be doing this with some of the crew! and .bowyer you were all brilliant, loved watching you and cheering you on!
thank you for being an awesome partner, was so proud of us for getting round and still having ‘fun’ whilst we did it!
Huge well done to and for being 10/10 supporters aswell! It was a touch job but somebody had to do it!
