One of the best skills you can learn is how to defend yourself, and those are the skills we teach and hone here at Leigh Ju-Jitsu.

We teach techniques, such as blocks, striking, joint locks, takedowns, throws and submissions from a range of attacks, stood up and on the ground, so you can be more prepared should you ever need to defend yourself.

Different chokes for different folks! Strangles, chokes, guillotines - our students learn a range of techniques, from standing and on the ground, with and without using the cloth available to us (gi (uniform) collar in this case but could be a jacket in real life)

Congratulations to our junior student, Luca Ghani-Ord, on winning silver at the Ju Jitsu European Cup in Belgium at the weekend in Sport Ju-Jitsu. 🥋 🥈

At Leigh Ju-Jitsu, we welcome students aged 5+ to learn Atemi Ju-Jitsu self defence techniques with us at our dojo near Leigh town centre.

Classes are £5 for kids, £6 for adults, but your first lesson is free so come on down and try us out.

Earlier this month, a few of our students attended Kokoro Ju Jitsu Traditional Ju-Jitsu Weapons Seminar in Lowton where instructors from our club, Leigh Ju-Jitsu, Kokoro Ju-Jitsu and Makoto Ryu Jujitsu taught techniques and drills using the bokken (wooden sword), rattan sticks and tonfa.
