To Hull and back for MNDA

Some absolutely terrible news reached us today, John Kear passed away suddenly yesterday on his way home from commentating on the Challenge Cup Final, we had the honour of meeting him at Widnes last year when we were promoting our walk, he chatted with us as we talked him through what we we were attempting, I can't tell you exactly what some of his replies were but it rhymed with 'clucking bell' and had nothing but admiration for what we were doing, a wonderful, wonderful man, rest easy John, it was a pleasure to meet you 😔

And that, is that!!! A massive thank you to everyone, from the bottom of all our hearts, this is not the end tho, far from it, as this door is closed I can see light from from another door a little farther down the road.....

Well, 2025 was one of the most stressful yet rewarding years of our lives, as is the norm we end the year without some of the special people we started it with, Sharon Tyack and Jonathan Simpkin have both left massive holes in my life that can never be filled but as long they're in our hearts, they're here forever. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you however you supported us, we really couldn't have done it without you, may a wish you all the very happiest and prosperous of New Year's 🧡💙

Well Sharon Tyack , today is the day you get to see usually blowing out of our arses as Sir Kevin of Sinfield makes us look and feel as old as we actually are, thank f**k we're only doing a mile but we'll be thinking about you all the way, as we do every single day, I miss you my beautiful friend, until we meet again, which in my case could well be this evening!!!

Martin Warburton and myself with the help of Stacey Kirkpatrick have been invited to run the 'extra mile' with Sir Kevin of Sinfield at his event at Headingley on Dec 7th as a reward for our walk, I'm gonna use this as an opportunity to officially close the fundraiser at midnight on that day, to say I'm buzzing like a knackered microwave to get the chance to do this would be the understatement of the century, thanks again to everyone who has already donated, you beautiful people 🧡💙

It's with great sadness and pain that I have to break the terrible news that our brave and beautiful friend Sharon Tyack has left this mortal coil, she was without any shadow of a doubt the bravest and strongest woman I've ever met, my friend, our reason why, you've earned your rest, I love you from the bottom of my heart, until we meet again 🧡💙
