Meet Vickie. Another newcomer this season. Vickie is another rugby novice, with other sports under her belt and a family that she always puts first.

Vickie found the gold shorts a great tactic to learn the game whilst playing, after a short hiatus due to injury she’s back, was involved at the Blackpool festival and did not shy away from red shorts & moderate contact in defence.

This Saturday, get down and support the Thatto Heath Crusaders Women’s Masters as we welcome Leigh Miners & Salford Roosters for a great afternoon of masters rugby.

It’s our final home game of the season, so come along, get behind the women and see for yourself what Masters Rugby League is all about .

Plenty of rugby, plenty of laughs and a brilliant community spirit.

It’s here! The annual national Masters festival in Blackpool, this Saturday.

Donning our club’s pink charity kit, we are travelling with a large squad 😃

Playing against Salford City Roosters "Chicks" - Ladies Masters Rugby League and a Farnley Falcons Ladies Masters & Golborne Parkside Womens Masters hybrid.

Looking forward to joining up with the rest of the teams later in the night 🍻

History was made as the first ever all-ladies Fat Monkey Masters team took to the pitch! 🐒🔥

Atoms players Hannah and Joanne pulled on their shirts alongside an incredible group of ladies from across the Masters family:

And what an absolute honour it was to share the pitch with two female rugby league greats, Genna Banks and Tara Jones! 🏉👏

To have our very first all-ladies Fat Monkey team take to the field alongside players with such experience and passion for the game made it a truly special occasion.

It wasn't just about the result, even though we did win — it was about women getting out there, pulling on a shirt, supporting each other and raising money for a fabulous charity
