We’re really pleased to be helping launch regular Short Mat Bowls session at Pencombe Village Hall every Friday evening commencing Friday 2nd October!

After the wonderful success of our taster session a couple of weeks ago, why not come along and give a new, inclusive sport a go?

What an evening! 🏆

Thank you to all those who attended and supported the evening.

Special thanks to Steve Kite, our wonderful Master of Ceremonies as well as our “head of catering” Becci Cox and all those who have helped make the evening such a success. 🎉

And with that done, the season is upon us- good luck everyone, it’ll be presentation evening again before we know it!

Wow! What a Friday Evening spent at Pencombe & Little Cowarne Parish Hall for our short mat bowls taster session taking place alongside their weekly pub night.

It’s safe to say our expectations were blown out of the water as 57(!) people came through the door and threw themselves into giving the sport a go!

We’re so happy with the response to the session and pleased to announce that regular short mat bowls sessions will be launching in the near future with a view to creating a permanent group so watch this space.

A huge thank you to all those who came along, the Pencombe Village Hall team for inviting us as well as HSMBA Development Officer Joe Loveys and Secretary Ian Roe for running the event! 👏👏

Congratulations to Ross Rockers who have won this year’s Summer League !

A close second half saw Ross Rollers push them all the way but ultimately lose out 6-4 in spite of scoring 39 shots overall to Rockers 30.

Well done to both teams on a great final and we now look forward to Presentation Evening a week Saturday 🏆🎉

It’s half time in the Summer League final and what a match we’ve had so far!

An incredible singles match saw Luke Rawlings just edge out Ian Roe 12-11 to give the Ross Rockers the early lead.
Meanwhile the fours saw the Rockers pick up a 9-7 win in the fours to put themselves 4-0 up overall.

However, the Rollers aren’t out of it yet, only 3 shots behind but in need of a win in both games!

We’re all setup and good to go ahead of the Summer League final between Ross Rockers and Ross Rollers! All we need is some players and the crowd👀
