🐾 RESULTS | TIGERS 🐾

A really accomplished performance from our Tigers this week👏

A great score line against an experienced Division 1 side, with some wonderful passages of play throughout.

The Tigers came out firing, going toe-to-toe in a fabulous first quarter before Bull Terriers made us work hard through the middle of the game to get the ball into our attacking third.

But once again, this team finished strongly 💪 Composed, determined and showing real resilience right through to the final whistle.

⭐ Players of the Match ⭐

Opposition Player – Evie
Another outstanding performance from Evie, who is really growing into Division 1. Up against an extremely experienced GA & GS, she produced a fantastic defensive display — earning her second Player of the Match award in just two games! 👏

Coaches' Player – Meg
A wonderful performance from Meg this week. Great movement in the circle, lovely timing and some fabulous shooting 🏐

🐾 RESULTS TIME!!

First up!.... Lionesses 🦁

A real game of two halves for our Lionesses this week.

The first half was a tough one! Disjointed, out of focus and lacking the communication we know this team is capable of. We found ourselves with a significant deficit to make up.

But the second half was a completely different story 🙌 A more focused, polished performance, playing as a unit and showing the team spirit we know is there. We won the third quarter and battled right through and ended on a great high to finish within 10 goals👏

Plenty to build on as we look ahead

Opposition Player – Abbie
A solid defensive performance at GK and GD, with lots of gains in the circle and a strong partnership in the defensive end.

Coaches' Player – Charlotte
Consistent throughout at C and WA, with great vision and reliability across the court. 💪

BACK TO NETBALL HAS FINALLY ARRIVED IN LEOMINSTER! 🏐🎉

And what a way to start! 🙌

A huge thank you to the lovely ladies who joined us on Monday for our very first session ❤️

There were plenty of smiles, laughs and some great netball, but most importantly, such a lovely, friendly atmosphere from the very start. It was brilliant to see everyone getting stuck in and enjoying being back on court! 🙌

We hope you all had as much fun as we did! 🥰

PANTHERS 🐈‍⬛ WHAT A START 🐾

Just 5 goals separated the Panthers and a great side who were playing in the division above last season. 👏🏼

What an incredible way to start their campaign, and a performance that gives us plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s ahead for this team. 🔥

Great flow throughout, with some really strong partnerships starting to develop on court. The Panthers showed plenty of fight, composure and belief right through to the final whistle.

🏆 OPPOSITION PLAYER — GRACE
A strong presence in the defensive circle, with great timing and passion throughout the match. And what makes it even more special? Player of the Match on her debut! 👏🏼🔥

🏆 PLAYERS' PLAYER — LUCY
Consistent, dynamic and reliable in the shooting circle. This was only Lucy’s second game with the team, and she is fitting in beautifully. 🖤🤍

TIGERS 🐯 WELCOME TO DIVISION 1 🖤🤍

A tough first outing in the top division for the Tigers, taking on an established and formidable Sapphires side.

After earning promotion last season, this was the Tigers' first ever match in Division 1 💪🏼

Despite a tough game, the team dug in, kept fighting and kept pushing, working hard together right until the final whistle.

And most importantly, they improved as the game developed. They adapted their play, responded to what was happening on court and continued to work as a unit.

Plenty to take away, plenty to build on and a huge amount to be proud of 🖤🤍

🏆 OPPOSITION PLAYER — LILY
An absolute powerhouse at GK! Exceptionally strong, fantastic timing and brilliant vocal communication to the team. Captain leading by example!

🏆 COACHES' PLAYER — EVIE
Strong in the defensive circle playing GD with great communication and partnership with GK. Evie produced some wonderful defensive work and interceptions in the circle 💪 she also played a huge part in the attacking transitions through court

We’re on the lookout for a few volunteers to help support the running of our junior club!

We’re looking for people who can come along and be present at our Tuesday junior sessions at 6pm helping out, getting involved and supporting our young players.

This could be a great opportunity for:

🤍 Parents who want to get involved
🖤 Students looking for work experience
🤍 Budding coaches wanting to gain experience
🖤 Anyone who simply wants to support their local club

Interested in coaching? Even better! We can offer mentoring and support to those who are keen to develop their coaching skills.

A DBS check will be required, but don’t worry, the club will cover the cost.

Whether you’re an experienced coach or completely new to it, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT. A. START. 🖤🤍👏

What a way to open the season🔥

It may not have been a win, but make no mistake, this is a HUGE result!

Against an ever-strong Nemesis, the Lionesses produced the best result this team has ever recorded against them.... By a significant margin!👏🏼

A performance full of fight, determination and belief from start to finish💪🏼
Moments of absolute beautiful netball with the team really linking well and pulling out some amazing turnovers.
We need to work on capitalising on those gains, but an excellent start! 🙌

🏆 OPPOSITIONS PLAYER — CHARLOTTE
A brilliant performance across C and WD. Interceptions everywhere, a fantastic link through the attacking play and brilliant communication and motivation for the team on court. Thoroughly deserved🔥

🏆 COACHES' PLAYER — LUCY
Strong, relentless and an absolute nightmare for the opposition in the defensive end! 💪🏼 Non-stop movement, fantastic communication and a brilliant partnership with GD. And when we needed an option in attack, Lucy was there with great support and reset options.
