Meet Your 70-Minute Pacer – James!

If you’re aiming to finish in around 70 minutes, James has got you covered!

This year, James will be pacing using the Jeffing technique – a proven run/walk strategy developed by Olympian Jeff Galloway. Rather than running continuously, Jeffing involves taking planned, short walking breaks at regular intervals before you feel tired.

Why does it work? 🤔

🏃 Helps you maintain a steady pace throughout the race.
⛰️ Makes the hills more manageable by encouraging you to power walk the steeper sections, saving energy for the flats and downhills.
💪 Reduces fatigue by giving your muscles regular recovery breaks.

We did a take over at beacon parkrun over the weekend. It was a hot one but great fun had by all.
