Been a while since my last post so apologies!
Been a rather hectic and disappointing few weeks that started with yet another engine failure at Harewood.
A strip down showed the block had cracked in every cylinder wall and we'd lost a large piece of the cylinder head.
We made the decision to quickly rebuild the engine onto our standard spare rather than rebore and have to wait for it to come back from the states again.
Unfortunately we underestimated the power loss we would suffer as a result and a trip to Daytuner last week confirmed we are 20bhp down from the previous engine spec. However this is the reality for the foreseeable future so we have to just make the best of it and push on.
British Hillclimb Champs at Shelsley Walsh last weekend and the power deficit is clear from the speed traps, however we were lucky to come away with 2nd and 3rd places finishes!
Loton Park with the Midland Hillclimb Championship this weekend and then a nice week long tour round Scotland before we arrive at Doune for the next BHC rounds.
Thanks as always to Optimal Graphics and Capture Your Car Photography by Stuart Wing for the ongoing support and photos.
Credit to for the clip too.

Solid weeked at last weekend for the Midland Hillclimb Championship.
2 x 4th place finishes in the run offs and finished up half a second off our PB.
Be interesting to see how quickly the track improves throughout the year!
Fantastic images from as always with some exciting new vantage points.
And a massive well done to who managed to get into the 2nd run off and score a point at his first Midland event! Superb job!
Off to tomorrow for thr next round of the on Sunday!

A tricky weekend at Prescott Hill Climb for the first two rounds of the British Hillclimb Championship.
Always a venue that we struggle more at than others but after a frantic week overcoming engine issues we were happy to just even be there with a new electric water pump install after the chain break at Loton caused a broken drive shaft from the oil pump to the mechanical water pump!
After some steady runs on Saturday checking temps during runs and for leaks afterwards we managed to start picking up the pace on Sunday.
Really struggled finding the right revs for a successful launch controlled start without bogging down, but at the end of the day we managed to take a 3rd and a 4th, with our best run being a second off our PB.
After nearly a year out the car we will just take one event at a time and let the pace come back to us, rather than rush it and risk an off!
Great photos by our partner Capture Your Car Photography by Stuart Wing as always!
And in other news, fantastic to hear our sponsor Optimal Graphics set a new PB at Curborough, testing his replacement engine following a mechanical issue. Great work!
On to Shelsley Walsh this weekend for the 2nd pair of rounds of Midland Hill Climb Championship!

Busy first weekend at for the first rounds of the Midland Hillclimb championship.
Engine woes had caused 2 cars in the class to withdraw pre event leaving a small class.
On our 2nd practise run our chains split link cried enough and after calling a Lorry Uber we discovered in the paddock we had resulting damage which we spent the rest of the afternoon and Sunday morning repairing to get us out for timed runs Sunday.
It was worth the effort though as we finished the weekend with 2 class wins and a 9th and 6th in the run offs so solid points.
On to this weekend for the opening rounds of the .

Awesome to see our sponsors logo Optimal Graphics back out there on the car for a 2nd season too
Great to you have you both onboard!

Excited to announce that this year we will be competing in the new format of Off Road Hillclimbing!
Getting the tyres on the rims was a bit of a b**ch and the traction control system has handed in its notice and gone back to dry land!
I'm also still soaked from taking it through the car wash afterwards!
Some photos from when we were out testing;

Merry Christmas to all from us here at BM!
Have a great festive period 🎄

At the time it was taken I never thought this shot would poignantly sum up the season from almost this point onwards.
Sat on the sidelines waiting for an engine that never came.
2025 was definitely a season to forget but at least we did enough in the first period to still pick up some silverware in both championships, if not the class wins we were hoping to retain.
On the brighter side I've managed to see a new side to hill climbing by being a spectator and have been lucky to experience seeing some of the epic machines at different venues from new vantage points.
That being said... I cannot wait to get the car running again and be on the right side of the barriers for me 😍
Thanks to our sponsor , apologies we weren't able to give you the service we promised but next year will be back to normal 💪🏻
Thank you for continuing to capture stunning photos of our other car, hopefully we gave your retinas a rest at least 😂
So 2025 can 🖕🏻
2026 👊🏻💪🏻 let's be having you! 🏁

And thats the end of the 2024 season!
Its been a hell of a year, we've managed to achieve everything we set out to do at the start of the season against some really strong competition, and despite some ongoing engine/gearchange issues which have surfaced numerous times through the season, we managed to soldier through after some mid week late night engine removals/installations.
We managed to win class I in the British Hillclimb Championship Cup for the first time, scored 15 points in the BHC from 9 run off qualifications, which is a massive increase on our 3 points from 1 run off from last year, and finished 14th overall as the highest placed 1100cc car.
In the Midland Hill Climb Championship we managed to win class I for the second year running after a season long battle with Tom Weaver which went down to the final round!
We also finished joint 2nd in the overall championship and placed 8th in the Top 10 Challenge.
A few projects to focus on over the winter for both cars, both reliability and power related but for now its a well earned breather and to recharge after what is always a demanding schedule.
Its also been great to see a fellow Force Racing Cars team mate in Alex Coles really find his feet once his engine woes were sorted, with some immense performances, and to get so close to a British Hillclimb Championship seeded number after only half a season is incredible. Without a doubt a top 10 contender next year!
Next up, Awards Evenings! See you all there!
Thank you Capture Your Car Photography by Stuart Wing for all of the amazing photos throughout the year! As always its a real pleasure to have you onboard!
