Whittington Falcons signed off the season with a 2-1 defeat against Mercia but gave a great demonstration of desire and team spirit which they should be proud of.
Thank you to everyone who came to support us tonight, hope you enjoyed!
It's been an enjoyable season for the team who ended up coming 4th in the league but arguably deserved to finish 2nd.
The boys have decided to celebrate the season by taking all the parents for a curry and a beer in a few weeks! Great bunch of lads - they're growing up fast!😂🇮🇳🍛🍺⚽
Thanks as always to our sponsors St Modwen Homes and Solo Flooring Centre 😊

Whittington Falcons 5 Cottage Farm 1
A game of 2 halves today saw the Falcons miss a bagful of open goals in the first 35 minutes and somehow go into half time 1-1. A completely dominant 2nd half saw the Falcons play some great passing football and finally take their opportunities.
One game left this season - let's finish on a high lads!
Goals: Ollie Scarrett, Rhys Davies, Freddie Sale, Tom King, Lenny Williams
Man of the Match: Jack Rowland

Higham FC 3 Whittington Falcons 3
Mixed emotions for the Falcons today who needed a victory against top of the league Higham FC to maintain their challenge for the league title. The lads were by far the better footballing team throughout the game and deserved to win but somehow went 3-1 down midway through the 2nd half. However a superb display of desire and effort combined with some great passing saw Johnny Williams slot a superb equaliser in the last few minutes. The celebrations showed just how much the players, coaches and parents all care about this team!
Goals: Freddie Sale, Ollie Scarrett, Johnny Williams
Man of the Match: Josh Butler

Top of the league. Boys played really well to come back from 3-1 down to level the match.
