Lichfield Bowling Club held the semi-finals and finals of the clubs knock out competitions yesterday.

The weather was perfect and just right for bowling. The green had been beautifully prepared by Phil Butler and the competitors were raring to go.

Many thanks to Dave Robertson MP who came along to present the trophies to the winners.

The club were also the beneficiary of donations from local supermarkets - Tesco, Morrisons, Co-op, B&M and Iceland. The goods were used as raffle prizes and an amazing £200 was raised for St Giles Hospice.

9 members of 41 Club Spires enjoyed a taster session at Lichfield Bowling Club last night. Tuition and support was provided together with woods and lots of encouragement.

Lichfield Bowling Club runs sessions of social bowling each week on Monday and Wednesday mornings for members plus a free taster sessions on Wednesday evening for anyone who would like to give it a go or fancies returning to the green. The only thing you need is flat shoes - start time is 6:30 pm.
