Will the summer makeover make any difference? It’s nearly time to find out! Our two 60s teams are back in action next week for their first league day of the 2026/27 season.
🗓️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻: Wednesday, 21 October 2026
📍 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Clee Fields, Ladysmith Road, Grimsby, DN32 9SW
Here’s how the day is shaping up:
🌟 𝟲𝟬𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮 | 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Under the fresh leadership of player/manager Trevor Adams, the Sigma squad is ready to wipe the slate clean. By some miracle, we managed to stay in the Premiership despite finishing dead last with a record of 1 win and 11 defeats last season 🙈.
Hopefully, this means things can only get better! Plus, the mathematical odds of avoiding bottom place have improved this year, if only because the division has expanded from 5 teams to 8 (‘O’ Level maths in action 😁).
Subject to any late changes, the Sigma team’s fixtures look like this:
10:15 Grimsby Town Corinthians Red VS 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮
10:50 Stamford Strollers VS 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮
11:25 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗺𝗮 VS Cottingham Rangers AFC
Alphabetically speaking, we’re currently sitting in a respectable 6th place—let’s hope we don’t end up regretting actually having to play our matches!
🌟 𝟲𝟬𝘀 𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮 | 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
Managed by David Miles, the Omega team is looking to build on last season's solid 4th-place finish. We're aiming higher this time around, but with a few new teams entering the division and a combined squad age of...a very big number...🧮 🫢 the Omega team won’t be taking anything for granted.
Fixtures in the Championship currently look like this:
13:10 Grimsby Ancient Mariners VS 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮
13:45 Grimsby Town Corinthians VS 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮
14:20 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗮 VS Sleaford Academicals
There’s always room on the touchline for spectators, so come and cheer the teams on (and maybe help them into their cars afterwards)! 🙌 ⚽
