Lincoln Social Netball Leagues

I’m delighted to welcome on board Amy Stewart to our management team for the week to week running of the Cherry Willingham leagues.

Amy is an incredibly enthusiastic netball individual who was recently nominated for a host of awards in the recent Yorkshire Netball One awards including Unsung Hero of the Year, Coach of the Year and Community Official of the Year. Amy has helped to establish North Ferriby Netball Club, umpires two “Netball Leagues” in Anlaby, Hull, runs a successful Back to Netball session whilst managing a full time job also! Wow!

Amy will be your intermediate for communication - both players and umpires - and will help manage the leagues going forward. Michael will continue to oversee and will still be available. Amy’s vast experience of playing, umpiring and coaching will make her an ideal asset for overall structure, answering questions and providing solutions in quick time.

In due course we will both visit the leagues so you can put a face to the name and contact details will be provided privately in the very near future to team captains following a period of training for Amy later this month.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in welcoming Amy to the team in what will be an excellent addition. 🙌🏻🏐

🙌🏻 Our new season fixtures for the Lincoln Wednesday Social Netball League have now been released.

🆕 We welcome new team ROSES to our setup which gives us 7 teams for the new season. Therefore every week, one team has a “rest week” which is categorised on the website as a “points match”. This is a default 18-0 win and a one week break. To confirm, we will not be playing 9-940pm in the sports hall!

🏐 What a fabulous first season it has been in the Lincoln Wednesday social netball league at Cherry Willingham

It seems as though CHERRY BOMBS may be our very first champions after this evening. A trophy and medals will be ordered for you, well done! 🏆🥇

A big thank you to everyone who has played this season and to our umpires, as without you, we don’t have a league.

The new season will start straight away next week. After tonight’s games the season will be reset and new fixtures released.

We may have a new team joining us for the new season and if we do and all teams are happy to continue, then we will look to introduce a rest week every seven weeks for each team due to the odd number.

What an excellent night of netball on our launch of our fun and social league after 3 return to netball training sessions. We have established teams and we also have individuals who have come together to create new friendship groups and what a great thing to see with their new teams! 🤝

We are looking for ONE MORE TEAM to join us on a Wednesday night or 7-10 individuals who want to play but don’t have a team. Message the page for more info ℹ️

Some of you eagle eyes would have seen the new fixtures for our brand new fun and social Wednesday league launched on Thursday but to those who missed it - here they are! 👀 ⬇️⬇️

These are you start times for your 40-min game slot so please arrive around 15-20 mins before so you are ready for your match. The match fee between your squad is £35. This is preferably paid online via the “pay now” link through the website but whilst some of you are getting used to one another we will accept cash for these few weeks.
