It's only taken them 4 years to realise what we all knew. They killed it. I hope they're happy.
As an exhibitor of 25+ years at the LSVR, it saddens me to see it dying a death due to an unopposed

After a day speaking to exhibitors and volunteers/helpers today it seems that the consensus is that the rally is probably too far gone to save. It's only half the usual size and many of the best exhibits have gone, probably for good.
Such a shame.
So this year the 35th Lincolnshire horse fair and sealed knot riot display will (hopefully?) be back on as usual. Make sure you stock up with sunscreen, riot shields, pepper spray and knuckle dusters before you arrive, as most of the traders have said they’d rather stay at home than endure another violence and theft themed weekend at the Lincolnshire Horse Fair, Auction And Steam Rally.

It would appear that Lincolnshire Horse Fair 2020 is cancelled.
Where will the Irish caravan club go that weekend now?!
Sorry I haven't posted much lately - someone reported the page as fake news and I had to appeal against it. It would seem someone doesn't want you to see these facts.

How odd they won't dig into the 300k+ they have in the bank and instead decide to penalise exhibitors for wanting to be safe. I wonder how many people will see though this cynical move?
Wonderful news!
I've heard that the Lincolnshire Agriculture Society are considering running the annual steam rally themselves! Given the enormous profits the rally makes (in excess of 250k declared in the bank for Steam Rally Society company), the agricultural society think it may be better to run it properly themselves and keep the money than it would be to just stop it taking place on their site.
I'm sure we wish them all the best and hope they manage to make it the secure, fun event it used to be.
If people want their grievances about the mismanagement of the 2019 Lincolnshire rally and their concerns about public safety to be considered, they should email Lauren at the Lincolnshire agricultural society who is taking witness statements from people who were robbed, attacked and intimidated over the course of the weekend. If no one will accept there was a problem with the event AND accept the severity and potential dangers of the problem, then nothing will change.
Does anyone know who to contact about claims for property stolen during the early afternoon Saturday invasion?
