Dear All,

Today marks the end of my two years of being the first and only Sports Development Officer. I have worked with some great people along the way and created some great memories.

I am really proud to have seen BGU Men's Football win the Catherdal Cup last year and win their first-ever cup this year. I have witnessed BGSU Men's Rugby beat University of Lincoln and travelled to away games to capture some photos for them. I travelled to Sheffield with BGSU Dance this year to watch them compete. I have witnessed BGSU Badminton win their first single and doubles games against University of Lincoln. I have seen a massive development in BGSU Netball, BGU Lions Cheerleading and BGSU Women’s Rugby!

I have attended some great events and social, one of my favourites was dressing up as John Cena for the rugby boys and dressing up as Mr Bean with the Dance lot!

It has been great to develop relationships with The Lion and Snake and other organisations. I have hosted one Sports Awards and due to the current Pandemic, I have not been able to host another one, however, this won't stop me...planning in the process🦾

Finally, I would like to say thank you to the last two years worth of exec members in the SU. Especially, Josh Blanchard and Jake Harness for pushing me to run for this role. Good luck to my good friend Daniel, in running sport by yourself next year, I will always be here to help!

Fantastic news from BGSU Women’s Rugby with them receiving this certificate from EDAN Lincs Ending Domestic Abuse Now in recognition of their amazing hard work with all the fundraising this year!

As a society, they have created an amazing engagement with events and raised an amazing amount of money for EDAN💛

BGSU Dance have raised £165 for Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire so far from our !

Their dance members are taking part in a marathon relay and completing various 2.6 challenges. If anyone would like to support us and help them reach £200 that would be amazing 💜💜

**MESSAGE FROM BGSU’s DEPUTY RETURNING OFFICER**

I am writing to inform you that due to a technical fault with the elections count software, we are unable to count the by election and club and society elections results.

As it is a bank holiday tomorrow, we will be unable to resolve this issue with the software provider, until Monday 11th May.

Apologies to all the candidates and those that voted, this is completely beyond our control but we will get the results published as soon as is possible on Monday.

Myself and Daniel hope you are all keeping safe and well. Last month we did not have the cover competition because we wanted everyone to find their feet during this lockdown. The cover competition will be uploaded tomorrow at 9 am (Saturday 2nd May).
