As we continue to tidy site and get ready for the upcoming summer season, we took a break from painting today to travel to RIB RETUBES near Hull to pick up our training boat used on all RYA courses. These guys do a great job and have tidied up the RIB and fitted some anti slip patches to the tubes, done a minor bit of preventive maintenance to the floor and given her the
'once over' ready for the season... look after your kit... it looks after you!

Today was all about the RYA Radar Instructors course… fun day with James DT

Today was all about radar training and trialling the new Radar simulator at Lincoln on our fancy curved screens... Led by RYA trainer James Davies we had a great time trying not to crash

Over the last two weeks we have been boating in Athens and the South of France… we have lots of ‘partner’ centres around the world who are able to offer RYA boating courses and charters to our customers. Our own centre principal can often be found helping to run these courses so you can start with us in the UK and build up your abilities and then we can sign post you to some ‘fun in the sun’. So, from intermediate/advanced powerboat to helmsman and day skipper courses, don’t be afraid to message us for more information if you fancy a trip away.

Shorebased instructor courses running in the Lincoln/Newark MIDLANDS region beginning of March. These are Teaching in the classroom, VHF instructor, RADAR Instructor, Diesel instructor, Navigation instructor, First Aid instructor. Courses are split between Nautical Training site (Farndon) and marinemasters (lincoln, Hykeham) site.

Organised a few days CPD for one of our powerboat instructors this week, down to Hamble, learn to drive a motor cruiser, eat, sleep, repeat… but on a RIB doing a daylight passage then repeating it at night to compare the experiences, this will help make our powerboat courses at Lincoln more relevant to our customers by getting our PBi’s coastal experience… big thanks to Andy Murray and Josh TreacherMan for the cruiser and James DT for sorting us out a rib.
