🏏 Lindum CC Emerging Player Scheme 💙💛

The session yesterday focused on a recap of leg-side play, before moving on to developing the sweep against spin. We also explored some key principles of bowling at greater velocity, looking at how to generate more pace effectively.

Despite battling the cold 🥶, the players showed fantastic commitment, focus, energy and willingness to learn. The improvements are already clear to see, and it’s great to see their hard work starting to pay off!

Plenty of positives and lots more to build on!

Lindum’s Emerging Player Academy! 💙💛🏏

Another productive session today as we continue to develop the next generation of Lindum cricketers.

Our sessions are led by First Team Captain and Club Coach Will Wright, alongside Zac Shelbourne, First Team player, former Second Team Captain and Club Coach. Together, they’re helping our emerging players build the skills, knowledge and confidence to take their game to the next level.

⚡ Pace, power and progress! Today, we recorded our bowlers’ speeds, providing valuable feedback and identifying areas for improvement. Throughout the winter, we’re working on both the technical and physical aspects of bowling to help our players develop greater pace and consistency. There are already some really encouraging signs!

🏏 We also had a great session working on playing the ball off the legs, continuing to build the technical foundations that will serve our players well out in the middle.
